Hi guys, my name is Freddy Wexler. I'm an independent musician. I've written a song and created a music video as a call to action for young people everywhere, regardless of their backgrounds or political beliefs, to get out and make their voices heard.

No matter where you fall on the political spectrum or what your views on foreign policy, you can find a lot of evil and misery in the world today. My song is not about pointing fingers at America, or at a particular political party or world leader. If there's a villain in the song, it's apathy, and indifference, and blind acceptance of the status quo.

Reasons why he refuses to support impeachment: will not go against Pelosi, more important matters on agenda, too late to impeach. He refuses to hear the following: whenever a leader is wrong, what is so wrong about going against that leader? What can be more important than inquiry into reasons for impeachment and impeachment itself given congressional knowledge of administrative wrongdoings and consequent congressional quiescence will indicate in the future that its having knowingly remained silent will lead to conclusions at later times that its indifference indicates its approbation of what went wrong, thus establishing precedent? As too the time factor, without inquiry into impeachment and impeachment hearings, even though Rep. Conyers has held an inquiry hearing, Congress has yet to impeach, which Rep. Mike Doyle is not for. Without the backing of House Democrats, impeachment will die. Mike Doyle is complicit. I know all this because I have been in repeated contact with his office. He has yet to respond in writing to me stating why he opposes impeachment, albeit I did talk to his surrogate, who could not counter my rebuttals except to offer more of same: Pelosi, level of importance, time factor. We need to target reps like Doyle during their next primaries.

Do we think the rest of the world cares about what goes into the air as pollution ? Especially our oil adversaries ! Of course not , because it is all about money !

Do you think that consumerism has slowed down any in its efforts to avoid additional oil expenditures , of course not , why , because it's all about the money !

I often wonder how much of our resources were sucked into plastics!

Some of the dumbest thing I am now witnessing is people ripping apart decent homes in order to make them "Green Homes" , isn't it better to leave good enough left alone ? People are gutting homes of materials that haven't even worn out ! Gutting and refacing homes sending more material to landfills at twice the rate now because of a brought on guilty conscience ! Kind of oxymoron ideals if you ask me ! these people do not want their homes to sit in a landfill and pollute yet that is the very thing they are doing ? People removing mass amounts of Sheetrock? why is Sheetrock a problem it is gypsum a naturally occurring substance ? And the wood that holds this sheet rock, gone , to expand these larger more sophisticate green homes ! so now deforestation is twice the rate because the wood is ripped out and destroyed and unsalvageable in many cases because of wreckless home conversions ! Many people excuse these efforts in order to say they are adding newer biodegradable insulation made of cotton fibers , Great ! now the price of a plain white t-shirt just went up and people who need clothes on their backs just had another resource taken away ! Do people know that if you live in an air tight home you can suffocate !

I am getting so irate with the way this world is portrayed! And even more Irate that many take this portrayal seriously !

We always struggle at the table talking about conserving oil and resources and the only thing it ever does is cause a hysteria and people do the exact opposite , it is one thing to feel uncomfortable with the environment around you it is another thing when your environment "is" actually uncomfortable and we know this but do you see real changes ? We took real action when : children had lead exposure , people suffered asbestos exposure etc. but do we take this same care about our resources , No! We worry about cigarette smoke exposure and have banned smoking in many areas , pubs, restaurants , bars , cars ! The health effects are deleterious , but when we talk about carbon emissions we do nothing , we don't make cars smaller or tell people that riding a dirt bike or ATV has adverse health effects or that using a rototiller or weed wacker in the garden poses health risks right ? 2 stroke machines don't count right? No one even want to fathom the idea that their generators are gas guzzlers too! Sports and recreation do not count in conservation , right ! What about NASCAR ? Such a good way to exploit the death and taxes & those who dies so they can race like the idiots they are , sucking up fuel as a past time ! L.A. complains about smog and thousands sit in an arena sucking up exhaust like it's nothing ! Such a contradictory world we live in ! I cannot sit here and honestly say anything good about the future , the world is too hypocritical ! Newtons Law ! For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction ! contradictions are contradictions! This is the permanent state of the world we live in , I suppose the only thing we can do is get over it already, right !

PLEASE do the right thing and call Bush/Cheney to answer for their evils which has so cheapened the meaning of "American" in the world!
We (and that INCLUDES YOU) have all been FOOLED again and Bush/Cheney has outdone every evil that Nixon/Rockefeller was called to answer for--shouldn't the same laws apply to Bush/Cheney?????
Of course they should---and we, your constituents, ask you to do your job and apply the laws to our selfishly evil President and Vice-President.
In the name of political manipulation our fellow countrymen/women are being maimed and murdered in the middle east. And it IS murder because of the REAL reasons for the war--which was NOT what we were told.
Your own inner voice and your own sense of right should tell you that you are mandated to call Bush/Cheney to answer. If you do not act accordingly, then you are helping those two charlatans to CHEAT yourself.
We, the American people, NEED you to at least TRY to undo at least some of the wrongs perpetrated on us all by those two selfish men.

I stayed up with Rep Kucinich for his entire reading into the record. I am so delighted to see that we have such quality of courage in the Congress. He's taken a giant step to restore its credibility.

But, I admit to being totally unknowledgable regarding the process of impeachment at this point. I know it begins in the House of Representatives and tried in the Senate, but where to we go from here with his presentment? I will feel more empowered if we can get the details or appropriate links to get this information.

Now, in light of the Democrat's surge to the finish line to sweep the board, it will be interesting to see just who among our Congressmen and women will step up to the plate and give their support. It is high time for them to show their true colors and the quality of their mettle.

no pleasure in saying Obama will lose to McCain :-(

I take absoluley no pleasure in saying we will be looking at ,at least another four years of a repug in the White House if the Dems once again shoot themsleves in the foot and fall right into the plans the GOP has to will in 2008. With some 60% of voters being Women and exprience being a big plus Hillary would have won this election for pres. and having Obama as her running mate would have been the ideal ticket .Obama in 8 years would have been more then ready to take over control from Hillary . With Obama and McCain and McCain getting the help of all or most of the major media outlets McCain's attack plan of bringing up exprience and milatary knowledge ,on the otherhad both of these points would be mute with Hillary and a very exprienced ear to bend (her Husband ) all that McCain has to run on terrorism and fear & exprience would be mute. I have seen the Dems make so many mistakes when it comes to elections ,and I see them shooting themselves in the foot again ,McCain will be clabrating when our convention picks Obama .I will still vote for who ever the Dems chose ,however I wish for once since President Clinton the Dems would pick someone that will win and that is Hillary . Another thing they keep saying Obama is a Africian Americian ,no he is not ,he is bi-racial half Africian Americian and half White ,his mother raised him and id a very good job of it I think its time they stop stating he will be the first Africian Ameriacian Pres. he will be the first bi-racial Pres. Please DEms lets out smart the repugs . Hillary /Obama in 2008 !!!!!!!

Ah, how much piety was in the air with Republicans such as Newt Gingrich and Henry Hyde, both of whom were marital philanderers, when they sought along with their similarly self-righteous party colleagues to remove Bill Clinton from the presidency.

The key question for these self-righteous Republicans was: “Did Clinton lie?” The corollary was that if President Bill Clinton lied on the subject of whether or not he had sex with White House intern Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office then grounds for impeachment existed.

It is doubtful that thoughts of the stains on Lewinsky’s blue dress have left the “chaste conscience” of “moralist” Ann Coulter for a single waking minute since the Clinton-Lewinsky liaison occurred.

To put the issue in perspective, the lie that Clinton ultimately acknowledged he told was in an affidavit in a civil legal case. Virtually any domestic relations attorney or psychologist dealing with matrimonial affairs would concur that perhaps the single leading instance of lying occurs when spouses deny extra marital affairs, the type of conduct applicable in the case against Clinton for impeachment.

The germane issue was whether lying about an extra marital affair under oath fell under the category of the U.S. Constitution’s impeachable offense category of “high crimes and misdemeanors”.

Unsurprisingly, an impressive array of constitutional legal experts along with former U.S. attorneys that weighed in on the subjects opined that extra marital sex was not what the Founding Fathers had in mind regarding impeachable offenses.

So now, Mr. Gingrich, current political commentator at that beacon of the airways for far right Republican Party pontificating, Fox News, what about the statistic that the Center for Public Integrity just released?

According to the Center, Bush Incorporated, meaning the cabal that met, strategized, then sent the representatives of Halliburton and Bechtel to divide the spoils of Iraq after Donald Rumsfeld’s shock and awe attack enabled them to do so.

Bush Incorporated lied with impunity on the subject of those fictitious weapons of mass destruction that legitimized invading and driving from power former Republican Party ally and favored Middle East son, dictator Saddam Hussein.

The Center for Public Integrity found that Bush and his team lied 935 times at least in this rush to war. Now Mr. Gingrich, you and your colleagues so exorcised about a White House intern’s dress stains, how about the rapidly approaching figure of 4,000 lives lost among U.S. service personnel in Iraq?

How about the deaths of between 600,000 to 1 million Iraqis, Mr. Gingrich? Yes, and there is that burgeoning refugee problem. It stands now at better than 3 million Iraqis, Mr. Gingrich, with a future prospect of as many as 5 million who will have fled their homes and flooded neighboring Middle East nations.

Should there be accountability for such lies, Mr. Gingrich? We ask the same question of Mr. Reid and Ms. Pelosi as well. Should there be accountability? Do these lost lives count for something?

Do they stand for more than corporate strategy to grab an oil rich Middle East nation’s assets? Do they stand for more than corporate opportunity for the likes of Halliburton and Bechtel?

Oh, Mr. Gingrich, perhaps you are caucusing now with fellow Fox corporate propagandists such as O’Reilly and Hannity for a response. I can hear your pathetic explanations now:

“Well, this is a whole lot different than Clinton! For one thing, we’re at war! We’re fighting Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda over there! Remember 9/11? Besides, well, anybody can make a mistake and we did get rid of a bad man in Iraq!”

Yes, we have heard these feeble arguments before. Saddam Hussein was your Republican ally during those glorious years of Ronald “Doctor Feelgood” Reagan.

Saddam Hussein used our technology to commit genocide on his Kurdish population but this never bothered those glorious neoconservatives who explained indifferently, “Well, we had a different enemy then.”

Dick Cheney tried out the phony argument about a link between bin Laden-al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein were sworn enemies from different spheres of Islam and the purported connection was punctured with the same swift devastation as those false and frequently stated claims that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.

We also remember how Bush took center stage and adopted his “Ah shucks” demeanor after the weapons of mass destruction argument was irreparably shattered. “Gee, anybody can make a mistake!” was the manner he adopted, never expressing one iota of regret for the death and destruction he and his cronies at Bush Incorporated caused.

There was no mistake. A series of bold, unconscionable lies were unleashed to take a nation to war to grab Iraq’s oil and enrich conglomerates associated with the New World Order that the Elder Bush, Colin Powell and others labored assiduously to develop.

Remember Hans Blix and the team of UN weapons inspectors that were on the scene in Iraq? They begged for more time to finish their report, which to then had yielded nothing in the way of proof of weapons of mass destruction. President Jacques Chirac of France also urged restraint and additional time.

So what was the response of Bush Incorporated along with its major media lackey Fox News? Sweden and France were belittled as nations. The Swedish Hans Blix was caricatured as a wimp from a nation too frightened to fight in a good old Rambo style war!

Chirac of France was painted as coming from the same mold. The French were painted as wimps as well and the concept of Freedom fries was born on Bush’s Air Force One.

What a pathetic chapter of American history!

Rachel Maddow struck the perfect note on Keith Olbermann’s Wednesday night, January 23 broadcast. Ms. Maddow asserted that such compelling evidence as the 935 lies told in connection with the fallacious claim of Iraq possessing weapons of mass destruction mandates that Congress has a duty.

That duty is to commence impeachment hearings against Bush and Cheney. Ms. Maddow stated further that if the U.S. Constitution is to hold any meaning at all with reference to trying public officials who grievously abuse it that impeachment is the necessary corrective response.

Dennis Kucinich has introduced a resolution of impeachment against Bush. He had previously introduced such a resolution against Cheney. Kucinich called on Speaker of the House Pelosi to immediately address this vital issue of impeachment.

This issue cuts to the fiber and being of the United States Constitution. Impeachment must be addressed immediately if this nation is to hold any credence or meaning as a democratic force in the world community of nations.

If Speaker of the House Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid stand in the way of this necessary constitutional process then the response should be swift and simple.

Pelosi and Reid should be summarily removed from their leadership positions so that the wheels of justice can finally commence.

Washington State Gets Serious on Impeachment; Take the Message to Your State!

I was delighted to join Democrats.com today because this is an organization that has its priorities straight.

By that I mean that it puts the number one issue facing America clearly on the front burner where it belongs.

That message is impeachment. No Senator Harry Reid, No Speaker Nancy Pelosi, you are both wrong when you state that impeachment is a political decision to be reached or, in this case, ignored by elected representatives.

Read the Constitution and you will see that a different standard applies. A chief executive and vice president take oaths to preserve and defend the Constitution. They take oaths to see “that the laws are faithfully executed.”

When those oaths are breached by the commission of “high crimes and misdemeanors” then, Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi, the issue at hand is not political to be decided by expedient. It is far more serious than that. It involves the very life blood of the country since breaches of egregious misconduct suck the very existence out of the Constitution and the fabric of democracy itself.

Therefore there is a duty on the part of elected representatives to impeach. It is a violation of international law, meaning treaties to which this nation is committed, with these commitments being therein written into the evolving U.S. Constitution, to engage in preventive war.

The claim that the Iraq War constitutes “pre-emptive war” is a trap that sadly many progressives have fallen into in using the term that the Bush-Cheney propagandists have used with impunity. Pre-emptive war embodies self-defense and is justified under international law and by the Constitution.

In this case a provable series of lies and a steady pattern of propagandistic deceptions were used to invade another nation without provocation, using the false claim of weapons of mass destruction.

On another front, the so-called Patriot Act has been used to perpetrate a series of violations of national and international law through preventive detention, repeated break-ins representative of a Communist or fascist nation, kidnapping citizens without probable cause from and to international destinations, and maintaining detention camps where prisoners were tortured in violation of the Geneva Conventions and held without probable cause or preferring charges against them.

Thank goodness more individuals are now taking action against such shameful violations of law and public decency. One of these individuals is Representative Maralyn Chase of Washington. Representative Chase will introduce a bill calling for the impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

On Thursday, January 17, a full hearing is slated concerning the bill sponsored by State Senator Eric Oemig. This bill calls on Congress to conduct a full investigation and trial for both Bush and Cheney.

So Washington political representatives are moving forward on the most vital issue facing America today, that of the impeachment of Bush and Cheney.

How about your state? It is time for action as death and destruction increase daily in Iraq and the Constitution continues to be pillaged and plundered.

Democrat leaders fail majority

Democratic Party Leaders are not respecting the wishes of the majority of the people.

It is time to get new leaders who will stop refusing to even hold hearings and maybe we will find the reason why Nancy Pelosi ignores the majority.
