Spitzer Resigns - It's Time to Impeach BushToday Gov. Eliot Spitzer apologized again to the people of New York for his personal failings and resigned, just 16 months after winning an historic landslide election with 70% of the vote. But Spitzer's resignation was not entirely voluntary, because Republican leaders were busy drafting Articles of Impeachment. What was Spitzer's impeachable offense? The "lowest" crime in the book. As we know, the Founding Fathers wanted Impeachment to be used for "High Crimes" like treason, bribery, war crimes, and subverting the Constitution itself. Eliot Spitzer committed no "High Crimes" - but George Bush and Dick Cheney most certainly have, and they continue to do so with absolute impunity. It's time for Congress to impeach them for it. 16 months ago, we posted a petition listing 10 High Crimes which justified their impeachment: Each one of these crimes is as unacceptable today as it was then. There are many more we could add, including Bush's commutation of Scooter Libby's sentence to stop him from testifying about the crimes of Bush and Cheney themselves, and Bush's ongoing threats to bomb Iran. And each one makes Spitzer's "crime" utterly insignificant by comparison. Over 137,000 of you have signed this petition, and we thank you. (If you've forgotten, our form won't let you sign twice.) But many of you have not. And in the wake of the Republican effort to impeach Eliot Spitzer for the "lowest" crime, every Democrat in America should sign it. Please tell your Senators and Representative to Impeach Bush and Cheney Now: And thanks for all you do to make the world a better place.

Its been time to get off the pot
Democrats dot com have been talking about all the evident reasons to IMPEACH George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The evidence of the High Crimes against our Constitution that they have undoubtedly committed, so why is it taking you all to bring forth an IMPEACHMENT TRIAL. What George W. Bush have done is far more criminal than what Elliot Spitzer did. Why can't you all bring this man and his posse to trial? It is time to get off the POT.
who i'd really like to get impeached
Rose Ann Demoro the president of the California Nurses Association had her thugs come to Ohio and screw up the best chance nurses here had to get a union. Here's a letter Ohio RNs wrote to her.
March 12, 2008
Dear Rose Ann DeMoro,
It’s hard for us to imagine how someone who calls herself a labor leader could purposely do what you have done to us and our families. You don’t know any of us. You have never been to our homes or met our children. You have never visited us on our shifts, or walked in our shoes. You don’t know a thing a bout the struggle that brought us to the verge of our dream to have a union. And yet without talking to a single one of us you send your bullying staff to come in and spread terrible lies for no other reason than to destroy what we worked so hard to build.
For three years we have worked with SEIU members, leaders and staff to form our union. We sent letters to hospital officials and mobilized community support for fair organizing rules. SEIU has supported and encouraged us through some very hard times, and helped us stand up for ourselves. We are caregivers—registered nurses and respiratory therapists, dietary and housekeeping staff, lab techs and other employees. SEIU helped us understand how we could do more by speaking with one voice and standing together for our families and our patients. SEIU respected our intelligence and our ability to make our own decisions.
You say you stand for democracy. But then you come in with a goal of destroying our campaign without ever asking us what we think about SEIU and our agreement for fair election ground rules—ground rules we now understand you have made use of many times in California.
You say you stand for justice. But then you deny us our opportunity for a fair vote free of misleading propaganda and scare tactics.
Our efforts to unite for better jobs and health care were not a secret. At any time during those three years you could have come and presented your union, compared yourself to SEIU, and asked us to make a choice. But you didn’t. So it is obvious to us that your sole intention was to destroy what we have built. What kind of organization sets out to destroy the efforts of the very people you claim to stand for, and then tries to pretend it’s a moral cause?
Here in Ohio, union organizers and representatives don’t behave the way yours do. They show respect for hard-working people. We have read all the words about how you try to justify this, but when compared to the needs of our families and the needs of our patients, they show a complete disregard for basic fairness and decency. You have brought harm to thousands of workers and families in Ohio, and you should be ashamed of what you have done.

impeachment
We seem to care more about our politicians' sex lives than their political doings. I keep pushing for impeachment every chance I get to email the people who are leading the cause and those who need convincing. Even though impeachment doesn't remove them from office, it's at least a first step toward resignation. Cheney is the most evil man I have ever laid eyes on, and his actions prove it. I say let's get him first and really throw that puppet of his (Bush) into a tongue-tied frenzy before we go after him.
what a coincidence
I did not agree with Spitzer and the drivers license fiasco but gee! isn't it a coincidence that he is now caught in something and must go away. Sounds like the wolves are still cuttin heads to me. Kinda like that general a few days before. Only the blind can truly see I guess. How long will it be allowed? How long will we let them destroy all that we are and have, and have stood for as a great country? Boy those secret meetings on energy must have really been some incredible brainstorming(without the brains of course) Oh yea and can you say $4 bucks a gallon by summer and many more forclosures, and a very weak dollar. Are we havin fun yet??????????
