Brilliant question by Bitodemo. Bravo!

--- In an earlier post by Bitodemo entitled "Illegal Immigration," the question was posed:  "Why are we allowing the few to rule the many?'

--- Folks,.... that says it all.  Our "democracy" today is about as antithetical to democratic principles as representative government can get.  Two crucial observations:

--- The "few" have all the money,... a condition which has worsened dramatically under George Bush.  The rich know hard times are coming,... and they are salting it away.

--- The "few" do not fear the many.  A teenager holds up a 7-11 and he gets ten years; a rich SOB steals $20 million, and he gets six months.  Notice the difference?   The "few" must be made to fear the many,... and that requires pushing them back a ways,... making "examples" of a few of them.   Where anti-American and anti-Constitutional activities are concerned, a few legal executions would not be overmuch.  It would solve the problem, and that is all that counts.  Criminals and would-be criminals at all levels ought to fear the laws which protect the many.

--- But to answer Bitodemo's question,... "we" don't allow or disallow anything.  The "political industry" is driving the bus,... democrats and republicans, alike.  Gotta vote for one or the other, eh?   Big money rules, and original Constitutional intent is an inconvenience to them.   A couple of life sentences without parole would change all of that.  The power has to come from the individual states,... the federal government is an abyss of corruption.
