I recently wrote to Bill Nelson, urging him to join the call for impeachment of Bush/Cheney, and received the following response.  (Bolding mine.)

Thank you for informing me of your views. Many Americans would agree that certain actions taken by this Administration warrant impeachment.

While I’m also frustrated by the failures of the White House in both foreign and domestic policy, such drastic action seems impractical.  The president’s and vice president’s terms effectively conclude next year.  And in the months immediately ahead, I believe the politicians in Washington need to focus on working across the aisle to get results on the major challenges facing our country--not only on ending the war in Iraq, but also on health care coverage and retirement security for all Americans.

I appreciate hearing your thoughts. Please do not hesitate to contact me again.

I plan to write him again, telling him that the pursuit of justice against illegal actions is, indeed, "practical."  Thought you might want to share a few thoughts with him, too....  The address for his e-form web mail is given in his reply.
