Iraq Fax-In

On the 5th Anniversary of the invasion and occupation of Iraq, over 60% of Americans want to bring our troops home as soon as possible.

The human costs are staggering. Bush has killed 4,000 brave young Americans and roughly 1 million innocent Iraqis, and physically or psychologically maimed ten times those numbers. Bush drove over 4 million Iraqis out of their homes into desperate poverty and destroyed a proud nation of 25 million people.

The economic costs are staggering too. Bush has stolen $592 billion from our children and grandchildren to avoid paying for his disastrous war, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Adding veterans' health care, replacement weapons, the skyrocketing cost of oil, and the collapsing dollar brings the cost to $3 trillion.

These massive costs have caused a "recession." And if we don't stop wasting $12 billion per month in Iraq, this "recession" could turn into another Great Depression.

Congress has already given Bush all the money he needs to bring all our troops safely home from Iraq.

On this 5th Anniversary, we the people call upon Congress to oppose any more funds for the occupation of Iraq.
