Bush Earpiece Moment Caught on Tape

Bush clearly lost the feed through his earpiece at 1:23 in this video, as captured by Veredictum. Bush spoke to reporters briefly at Camp David on 8/17/06 after a Federal judge in Detroit ruled Bush's warrantless wiretapping program unconstitutional and was asked about that ruling.

"I made my position clear about this war on terror.
I uh...
And uh... by the way, the enemy made their position clear, yet again, when they...
when... wwwwww... when... when umm... we were able to um... stop 'em, see."

Try to make sense of Bush's words: "The enemy made their position clear when we were able to stop 'em." It's impossible to make sense of them.

Obviously Bush never composed that sentence in his own mind. It only came out of his mouth because it was fed to him through an earpiece that failed.

Bush's earpiece

My son called me to watch that press conference going on. My son thought the stammering was pretty funny. I told him that bush obviously could not hear the words being fed to him.

Welcome to our blog, Pattyaitch.

Many of us have suspected Georgie
wears an earpiece during his speeches/
press conferences. That would be one
reason for the constant stammering.

;-)

Again, welcome.

Afterthought.

This would make a great sketch
on Saturday Night Live!

Welcome

Thanks, I used to think some promter offstage was feeding him lines. That cocked head, faraway look that he usually had. I never dreamed it could be an earpiece 'til I saw the box on his back during the debates. I love it

Video Gone from YouTube

Hey Bob, they removed the video. Was looking for that - googled and found this posting. But the video was taken down. I hope you have another link or can find it elsewhere.

All my best,
PD
