Conyers is pushing for an investigation of the BA on several fronts.
We may not agree with them all, all the time or with their priorities always, but they do have to pick their battles carefully, if they want to stay in office and get others elected in '06. If the/we dems don't keep our seats in the senate and gain several in congress we can't do much against the party that owns the government and the voting machines.
Let's take back the congress in '06 and then start to work to regain the oval office in '08.

What I can not understand is that for a indiscression in the White House the Repulicans impeach Bill Clinton. They (the GOP)said the Bill Clinton lied to the Court. But, George Bush not only lied to the Country but also to the UN and the rest of the world , but our armies in harms way, Illegally wirertapped our own people and then tried to get away with is by saing that he was protecting the American people . If these are not impeachable offences then I guess the American people do not know what is.

I read on TruthOut that Iowa legislature was trying to get a bill going to impeach Bush and Calif. was doing the same for Bush and Cheney. Now, to me, THIS is BIG news---however, I have not seen or heard about it anywhere else!! Not TV or newspapers.
I called our TV stations and our newspaper and no one had heard anything about it.
Has anyone else out there heard anything about it? I'm beginning to think someone is just playing a joke on the public!

the buildings 2 towers collapsed from the top down, pancaking. The lower buiding WTC#7(?) was damaged at the lower floors by debris and by fire and fell, looking like a demolition from the bottom up with the higher floors looking intact as they fell.
Anything else is nonsense. Ths DVD by the clergyman is crap and just has the fallings of the buidings repeated until you get bored to death. Meanwhile he spouts nonsense.

OK why didn't the most powerful Air Force in the world respond to the attack when they knew "off course jets" were headed to DC? They had at least 40 minutes.
Go to NY City and see how large the smaller buildings are let alone how massive and large the WTC was (built to withstand 100 mile an hour wind and survive a plane crash into it). Would a plane crashing into it do that type of damage when most the fuel exploded outside the building on impact? Common sense physics tell us that is impossible. My family has engineers!
I don't know about the "experts" or their experience who wrote the article for Popular Mechanics but there are even more "experts" who say it is bat dung. Just common sense says, the buildings were bombed from inside. Floors were closed off for "repairs" previously. Bomb sniffing dogs not there prior the event. People/firemen said, they heard bombs go off.
Too many strange events happened prior to the attack. The Pentagon held numerous military exercises leaving us open to attack. No Armed Forces planes were in the air protecting NY and DC from further attack. Everyone disappeared when the people needed directions and information. We were under attack and there was great fear...on purpose. No one was punished/held accountable for their incompetence but promoted! Allowed to stay there when they failed.
A Bush was head of WTC security and gold is missing! He wasn't even asked to testify. FBI files stored there even though it was not a safe place?

If you were following the news, you would know President Clinton was being pressured to attack Iraq by Nixon/Bush people. Secretary of State Albright (at the peace talks there under Clinton) asked the students in Ohio to go to war for Israel in Iraq. They got up and yelled...h....no we won't go to war!!
When Bush came to power, I knew he would be just like his father. There would be wars, financial failures, corruption, and debt. And so it came to pass!
I heard that the Patriot Act was on Clinton's desk before 911. One thing for sure a document so large was not written over night. It has been a Con plan for years. Clinton interrupted it for eight years (as acknowledged by WH Bush at the NAFTA ten year celebration televised on CSPAN). After Clinton, the Con plan for PNAC was back on track. Good job Ashcroft, Powell, Charnoff, Condi, Rumsfeld, and Brown.
Talking openly about forming their own government and borders without anyone's permission should have been a hot topic for the media. Strange that it is/was not. The Fourth Estate no longer exists as it was in our past democracy. Some people call the media the "Fourth Front" to destroy democracy.
The "Re-write" History cable channel shows their version of the truth about disasters since Bush. They showed the 911 WTC reason for collapse and the Katrina levee failures.
WTC pancake reason for collapse seems pretty stupid to me. No huge building ever did that except for a professional bombed one.
For Katrina, the "experts" built a model and used a centrifuge to show strain on the walls. Since when do storms (wind and water) rotate at RPM on impact?
On CSPAN Congressional hearing, I listened to New Orleans residents (who lived near the levees) say,they heard bombs go off. Many residents of NO failed to flee because Katrina was only a level three storm and the levees could withstand that. Congressman Shays made fun of them and tried to say...they were liars.

It's not that the American people don't know that these are impeachable offences, but a Congress that allows this to happen without any actions to impeach Bush AND Cheney.

Blue Dogs who can't face the truth
Let's remove them one by one. Get petitions or demand they do as they swore under oath to protect and defend the Constitution.
The President/and many of his agency heads admitted publicaly that they feel it is an old outdated document (the Bible has more staying power apparently) and they won't follow it.
Sorry..the contract is there and they swore an oath of office. The "contract" is the agreement between the states (and their citizens) on how to run government. It contains what duties they have and what they don't. It is for "We the people" to decide not a "decider" or his criminal adminstration.
How can any administration claim to want democracy and freedom while taking it away? It is freedom to pillage and rape for the few mostly don't you think?
These Blue Dogs have self interest at heart (and Bush fills that agenda to stay in power). As I look down the list and see it is not for the "common good" but for their own (a religion, other country's goals, open borders called the Americas, campaign money, or just plain cowardness and greed).
They hate big government? I can rant on that but I'm just going to say...they have destroyed our government for "privitization and crony no bid corrupt contractors" so it does not work very well anymore. We are a huge country who have needs for infrastructure, regulation,laws, and defense.
Build that airport and road to get to work on your own. Keep that budget going deeper from corrupt policies until the IMF comes after your bank account and property. Worried about your families future?

No past VP candidate such as Gore ever lost an election that he should have won by a landslide.
Gore picking Lieberman for his VP lost him a lot of votes in the Conservative South and Midwest. The media loved the Lieberman pick (just like Obama) because they knew he would lose us the election. Only the DC gang and media Cons liked Joe.
Gore lost his own state. The stolen votes in TN where just shameful. No one challenged it.
The economy was great but people did not like Lieberman. Republicans were ready for another candidate rather than Bush but they feared Lieberman's politics (religious nut and war monger). Frankly so did I. I voted for Gore because I knew what a "Bush" represented.
Between the stolen votes and the courts, Democrats did not fight for a Gore win. Everyone knew he won. It was almost like Gore couldn't concede the election fast enough to statisfy the media. No Bill Daley kept saying wait.
Can't blame any one except our party leaders and candidates for their poor choices and cowardness. No the country was not ready for a 1st Zionist VP (if a Jewish VP was the goal Wellstone a better choice).
As we see today Lieberman would not have made a good VP or future President.
The DLC party members keep picking DLC minorities who will lose election after election. The country is ready for a Progressive Democrat who looks after their borders, treasury, jobs, no wars, and freedoms. Remember "We the people of the DNC" pick the candidates who represent our party agenda. Lieberman did not.
House members were outraged over the whole TV media thing and vote stealing. They were prevented from speaking. When no Democratic Senator stood to challenge the fraud/stolen/recounts and some votes not even counted in Florida, etc., I knew the loss was either planned or a coup was afoot. It was all so strange.

I didn't vote for Bush, either. I voted for the candidate who came closest to representing my interests--Ralph Nader. I owe the Democratic Party NOTHING! If they continue to offer candidates like Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Lieberman, and the "old" Al Gore, I see no point in voting for them.
The only vote I OWN is the vote I cast...I'm not into second-guessing how everybody else is going to vote. If everyone were to vote his/her conscience and recognize his/her own enlightened self-interests, A candidate like Ralph Nader could have won resoundingly.
I won't be so arrogant as to say Al Gore 'stole' the election for Bush; but he received thousands of votes that might otherwise have gone to Nader...but of course we had the Dem Party smear machine going full blast, repeating the mantra--"Nader can't win...Nader can't win...vote for a lesser evil or we'll wind up with Bush in the White House." It's the same trick the Dem Party apparatchiks have been using over and over for years.
Limiting the field of candidates to only two (tweedledum and tweedledee) is inherently ANTI-democratic, particularly when both of the 'Evils' we're required to choose between are beholden to contributors/lobbyists whose interests are antithetical to America's larger interests. This is the dynamic that keeps giving us Presidents like Bush, Nixon, Reagan and the Great Triangulator Bill Clinton. If we don't start encouraging alternatives to the corporate-owned duopoly, democracy is surely doomed.
[BTW, I now feel much better about a future Al Gore candidacy...ONLY because the guy seems to have slipped the collar of the Dem Party hacks (and the DLC wiseguys); and he has taken up some of the issues that Nader and other Green Party members have brought into the political discussion.]

I agree with all you say. I only disagree that we should try to get the Democratic party back from the DLC globalization/war agenda.
I wasn't threatened or even blaming Nader. I admire his policies and agenda. I even sent his corporate responsibility contract to my Democratic representatives. The country wants a Progressive agenda and candidate who can win.
It seems to me that the media destroys people like Nader and Kucinish while pushing globalists like Obama for Democratic primary winners. They tried very hard for Dean but his WTO stand in Iowa lost him the state in the primaries. He stood before union groups telling them and us how the WTO was good for us. We knew better.
Iowa Democrats who I called preferred Kucinish policies but because of the media thought only Kerry could carry a win off.
Except for Nader most the third party candidates aren't qualified aren't known enough to win. If they were elected they would be a one person minority against the many and could not get anyting done.
Come to think of it what did this Republican President accomplish in his years except bad things for America? And he had one party rule. They can't blame anything on the other party since they controlled all of government.

Joe is not a "Democrat light". He votes with Republicans most the time. By allowing him to sit in the "cat seat" occupying space and votes we could use, we are not looking after our best interest. Why would you give him power over the Homeland Security Commmittee when he has betrayed his party (and his CT Democratic Party constituents back home)? Now he betrays all of us voting against things important to us.
What happened in that CT race anyway? I thought the picked Democratic candidate was way ahead? He was a Yalie. Did that have something to do with it? The events to get Joe back in power were very strange from what I can tell.
Our party seems to be running candidates for office who aren't running their campaigns to win. Tammy Duckworth, candidate from Illinos, was way ahead but lost votes at the last minute on immigration/amnesty policy. It was last minute campaign policy support by Emanuel (D-IL) DLC leader.
If people had known her immigration policy in the primary, she would have lost. Nope...she was there to lose to the Republican candidate. I saw her on TV the other day looking pretty prosperous and saying she would run again. I don't think she will win another primary after her ploy.
We have one Democrat (x-radio talk show host and pro-war) who lost the primary twice here in Illinois only to run again and win it in Indiana. She lost the election there stopping us from occupying an additional seat in Congress.
We need better leadership in our party. We should have won more seats but for amnesty and pro-war candidates. Most Democrats oppose them.

Impeachment without Pardon
There is no chance Bush and Cheney are not impeached for their moral misconduct as representatives of the people. Important is that they donot get pardoned somewhere down the line. Because Father Bush and Mother Bush don't want to see their boy being hurt. Afterall it was Father Bush who cooked up all this nonesense behind the scene. As he also arranged Jeb to be the Govenor of Florida. It all started with subliminal activity behind the scene by Father Bush. Of course no one paid attention to this, because every body is so bussy among the not aware people, who are the majority, to make a living.
And they were the target to be used.
And the rest of the polititians didn't pay attention what was going on on immorality cooked up by the Bushes and Cheney.
I happened to watch Charles Stanley every Sunday morning when suddenly Father Bushe's face was blended in at the end of his show. That was the time when I stopped watching Charles Stanley. If that is not subliminal mind manipulation I don't know what else you can call it. Stanley must have gotten a good sum of money by letting this happen.
So who knows where else Father Bush got his face blended in at those religious shows. But no one pays attention to those immoral activities behind the scene.

Has anyone noticed the RW theme and political propaganda in some popular TV programs?
I'm all for political discussion and information but I don't want to have it in my face all the time. I've heard things like...Oh I just love Gale Norton and want to work for her. Ms. Albright how about sitting on my bed and discussing things with me? Yale is good...Harvard is not. Are they paying for that line? Mostly they are ackward and don't fit into the subject line. On "Gillmore Girls" the Yale signs, subject lines, and post everywhere are over the top.
How about home seeking/remodeling programs being one big advertisement? Those house buying shows are redundant and boring. Are relators paying for them? I believe they drove up prices all around the country. A three bedrooom 1500 square foot house for $500,000 in Iowa? The home buyers don't look credible either. Please!
Also advertisers are sticking their noses into programs not just advertising between hours, etc. I saw a love type movie where the guy has the girl climb to the top of the Xmas tree to look and there...oh is a small box. On top of the box is "Kay"...a ring from Kay Jewelers. Isn't that just so romantic? Or behind a character is a sign "Verizon".
Remember when we got sick of commercials and decided to have paid TV called cable? Well they stole that for advertising AND our dollars. They compromised by having a "public service cable channel" called CSPAN. CSPAN was for government and citizen use. Today, they have CEOs, select religious leaders, and RW propaganda books on that "govenment cable channel". They claim they are privately owned and can do as they please.
The FCC has fallen on their face and can't regulate or enforce anything for the people's use. I want our party to insist we have equal time on all radio and TV time. Right now only Republicans have their say when we all pay taxes and for consumer goods.
Blatant election inserts, and advertisements
This was done about three years ago. Stations took money to have the decor surround themes to instill in the minds of our young and public. With out our permission and for profit making sales go up. Because people have a vast market in the movie buying business, it becomes a droning mass of commercials, flying through our heads as we see the product on merchandise shelves. Sneaky eh?
Impeachment is necessary

Too impeach or not to impeach
Clearly it is not up to the American people to do the right thing. We have entrusted this responsibility to the politicians in office. Most politicians are in the pockets of large corporations who support their elections and they are afraid to rock the boat. You can't really blame them. It would take a true statesman (or woman) to stand up to the criminal element in Washington and start a movement to do the right thing. That's just not going to happen. People are afraid to go up against this crime family for obvious reasons. Sadly, we have such a corrupt system and that filters down to our election process. The Right has the might - and they control the outcome of the elections - at least since the 2000 election. The solution, I feel, is to get the corporations out of the election process by taking away their right to underwrite candidates and to do away with the Diebold computers used by the voters. We need to get back to basics and allow the people a chance to elect real representatives.
The fact that there has been no censure or impeachment speaks volumes. This country has been hijacked.

I believe that 75% of the country really does want Bush, and Cheney impeached. It seems to me, that there was almost a majority of those who wanted to impeach Bush, before they knew he lied, about knowing more of 9/11, than it came to an almost majority. Since than we have learned a lot more about Bush's "White lies" and he comes closer and closer from the 49% to 49%, and now to the 49%. could it be that he is already way beyond this 49% marker? (40 whatever depending on the poll)
Take a look at all the different organizations that are trying to take him down, for breaking any one of the some 700 laws he has broken. The people do know of his incompetence, and of his lies. That is why his ratings are so low, because his real approval ratings are probably somewhere in the 20's. But hey if you ask a 100 republicans if they like Bush, and put it up as a poll, I am sure 32% would say they did.

I think it's clear most of the intelligent people in this country (there are a few) realize President Cheney-Bush are guilty of many wrongdoings - including war crimes and war profiteering. These guys really are criminal and they should be taken down hard and fast. But the painful truth is we have a political system that prevents that from happening. Why? Our Republican Congress makes that decision and they have the majority vote - not gonna happen. The Speaker of the House would not even let such a suggestion be put on the floor. You see, Republicans, like Democrats, tow the party line. They're not going to risk political suicide by going against their own kind.
The country is totally divided. Split down the middle. I think there are many more democrats than republicans but that's another story. I call them the "Dummycrats," because they just don't vote. That's the irony. Republicans are more educated - that doesn't make them smarter. And they have the religious fanatics for their fan base. These are nutcases that think Jesus is coming back to Earth and the dinosaurs never existed. They also think the rest of us are going to hell when we die.
But they turn out on election day whereas the Dummycrats don't because they feel their votes don't count. And now, thanks to the Republicans, and Karl Rove's minions - their votes actually don't count!
In my youth we marched and shut down campuses. We fought back and the media let us be heard - they gave us a platform. Today's youth are a bunch of wusses and wimps - no backbone. The media is owned by the very corporations that put the criminals on office. Both are too busy with their own selfish self-interests and our youth has been hijacked by video games. We've raised a generation of vidiots who are not engaged in the real world. Where is the outrage and anger? Where are the voices? I don't hear anything. The little we do get to hear ic controlled by the right-wing media and reduced to little sound bytes followed by a critic who passes for a broadcast journalist letting the listener know that, well, the other side is just angry because they're not the ones in power.
I can't go out there and burn flags on the White House lawn because I've got a job I've got to keep - a family to support. I would gladly go to jail right now because of an act of protest but it would cost me and my family everything - it would ruin us. We no longer live in a free country with free speech rights. Does anyone not get this? It's now considered unpatriotic to protest!
The good guys lost. End of story. Will they ever rise again and make a difference? Only time will tell. But if left to the religious zealots now running the show, we will all go down in a nuclear holocaust - a sort of self-fulfilling prophesy they have been preaching for generations.

You can't blame the youth
I'm not entirely sure where this went from who the Democratic nominee should be to why it's the youth of America's fault this is going on. We are the generation with our asses on the line here. Yeah, we have video games, that's great. It's a small consolation to inherit a polluted world full of people who on the whole never gave a fuck about us, and expected us to be able to raise ourselves, and then blame us when we turn out less than spectacular.
We get to go to war at 18, but we couldn't drink until we were 21. We missed out on the free love era, we grew up with AIDS looming on the horizon. We got to inherit a world where instead of some big kid kicking our ass, we got to worry if we were going to get shot at school. We become adults, we get to deal with the war on terror. That's awesome.
Yet we are the ones who are out in the rain, and the snow knocking on doors, doing the shit work in getting people elected who will hopefully make a difference, even though once they are elected they pander to everyone but young people. Don't blame us for the mess we get to clean up. Be fortunate that some of us have jobs and are willing to pay extra taxes so our parents generation doesn't starve to death once they retire. Our generation may never get the luxury.
