Osama Endorses Bush!

How can the "pundits" possibly say that Osama's tape helps Bush?

Bin Laden Says He Ordered 9/11 Attacks

Osama thanks God for Bush's failure to lead on 9-11!

That's about as close to an endorsement as you can get!

Even Osama knows Bush sat in a classroom reading The Pet Goat while 3,000 terrified people died.

Even Osama thinks Bush's 'leadership' is a farce.

How can Bush lead the nation in our 'war on terror' when the world's leading terrorist is laughing at him??

How can Bush live with this shame???

How can America even consider four more years - of this????

Update 10-30-04: Al Qaeda Endorsed Bush in March

In all of this, little notice has been given by the Western media to an al-Qaida declaration following the Madrid bombing and published in full on 17 March in the Arabic-language dailies al-Quds al-Arabi and al-Hayat in the UK.

A week after the Madrid attack, the Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades, which claims to act on behalf of al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the bombing and declared a truce in Spain to see if the new government would withdraw its troops from Iraq, but warned that it was gearing up for new attacks.

This part of the declaration was widely reported. However, very few mentioned the more ominous part of that declaration, short of excerpts which were reported by the BBC and Reuters.

"What is a cause for concern is that half the American people still wrongly believe that Iraq had links with al-Qaida and a hand in the 9/11 attacks"

The declaration turned its attention to President Bush, saying: "A word for the foolish Bush. We are very keen that you do not lose in the forthcoming elections as we know very well that any big attack can bring down your government and this is what we do not want.

"We cannot get anyone who is more foolish than you, who deals with matters with force instead of wisdom and diplomacy.

"Your stupidity and religious extremism is what we want as our people will not awaken from their deep sleep except when there is an enemy.

"Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilisation.

"Because of this we desire you [Bush] to be elected."

interpretation

If taken on the surface, it's anything but an endorsement of Bush;
ObL says he doesn't hate freedom, only his people being attacked.
Thus, he wouldn't want Bush in office. If you think that ObL's
goal is actually to spur war between East and West, as he's said
in the past, then he would prefer Bush, but then this video makes
little sense.

Another thing that's hard to make sense of is why, given either
ObL's claimed tit-for-tat motivations, or his desire for E-W war,
he hasn't attacked the U.S. since 9/11 -- the only plausible
explanation I can come up with is that he simply hasn't been
able to achieve it. I read a report (perhaps in democrats.com?)
of a documentary to be played on British TV that makes a cogent
argument that the terrorist threat is vastly overblown, that there
are no "sleeper cells", that Al Qaeda is not a coordinated or
centrally controlled organization, etc. This is supported by
indications from the video and other reports that Atta developed a
plan on his own and brought it to ObL who then provided support and funding.

As for the pundits -- anyone who spins this as in favor of Bush
is a Bush supporter (just as you spin it against Bush because
you aren't). More people will be exposed to and be influenced
by those spin reports than to and by the video itself, and thus
its contents are actually irrelevant.

Give Spaniards some credit

When trains were bombed, the Spaniards knew who did it and so did their government within four hours.
However, that government said people “ must believe it was ETA” so as to support their failing anti-terrorist policies. They ordered the public “not to think” that Al queda had acted so as to prove joining the American war was not a mistake.

The ex-president and his cabinet were the ones who panicked, lying for 3 days, censuring the press, alerting their diplomatic service to propagate their lie, and ordering demonstrators off the streets or “necessary measures” would be taken. The government´s desperate actions to salvage the election for themselves were what the people reacted to at the polls and certainly not fear of Alqueda nor ETA.

The Spaniards do not panic easily. They did not see liberating troups on D-day and were forced to live for 40 years under a cruel dictator who tortured, enslaved, and filled mass graves. They have suffered shootings and bombings of terrorist groups for decades.

The Spaniards were very clear (94%) on not going to war against Iraq even though Jeb Bush had promised "benefits that you can´t imagine". The Spaniards hate terrorism, but what they hate more are lies and manipulation. These people waited long for democracy and have great political savvy so they ousted the party that went against their wishes and lied and chose the party which had promised many months before to get their kids out of Iraq.
