What ever happened to Jeff Gannon? It seems to me that just about everyone has forgotten about Jeff Gannon. This is a case where someone was given a white house press pass so he could ask soft ball questions, and no one seems to think this is important. This is a chance to show the Bush administration for what it really is: a highly corrupt regime that lies and cheats when ever it wants to. We need to do some thing to remind people of this. We can't let this slip through our fingers. Any thoughts?

The judiciary committee
decided it wasn't worthwhile to look into the fact that a prostitute had consistently gained access to the WH Press Corps for two years in this post 9/11 era.
In other news: Baseball players take steroids. Time to do something.
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
And the Senate
just voted down a bill that would require news organizations to run a notice when they run straight from the WH ads as news.
Hey Necco, baseball and steriods is about the children don't you know? (gag)

LOL!
I always thought it was about middle-aged, balding men who vicariously lived their lives through the celebrity of others.
Schwarzenegger comes to mind.

God only made so many perfect heads. The rest, He put hair on.
Hmmmm
So being bald makes people perfect?!? I had never looked at it that way, though the idea is intriguing to me at the moment. ;-)

It COULD happen, ya know.
Your mental pic
is so much prettier than mine. My visual is a younger man sitting in his boxers with a can of cheep beer, his hair in the same style it was when he woke that morning and there is a lot of scratching going on.

So what else is new
It is okay to allow Gannon in to ask questions if they make George look good (probably impossible if any of the neurons are firing in listener's brain). I'll bet that the minute the Democrats had any hint of scandal the Salem witch trials would start again. Is this a double standard or just a lack of taste, decency, and morals on the part of our favorite fearmongers/warmongers ? I just know that I still would not let this guy into my house. Just hope that he doesn't move to a college campus and become the president of the Young Republicans like K.R. Luckily, our children would be safe. Ethics and truth are fading fast in the press.
I don't know if you are a Doo
I don't know if you are a Doonesbury fan, but Gary has already picked Gannon's successor:

Gee, the silohuette of the president sure looks like cheney eh???
YYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHH !!!!!
I now get it
I am a little tired, a little out of touch, but now I get it. I thank God every day that I found the internet. I would like to see Roland take a tour of George's brain. It would be the shortest ride in history. It might turn out that there is no brain at all and it was the wrinkle under his suit making his mouth move. Can someone ask him what makes his mouth move at a news conference? I would like to hear his answer.

My letter to Koppel
I wrote this in a hurry straight from my heart, without thinking the wording over, since today is a jam packed busy day. It is not eloguent but it is sincere. Want to take bets that I never hear back?
Dear Mr. Koppel;
In regard to the Jeff Gannon/Guckert matter.
are you seriously saying that with your staff and with all the information/leads to be found on the web in some very reasonable blog sites you don't have time to research the Gannon story? It seems to me that there is more than a little material already available for a very good start on checking out this story.
We do know for sure that Mr. Gannon and Mr. Guckert are one in the same person, that Gannon had a daily press pass renewed every day for 2 years, that he was a male escort and had his prices and pictures all over the net and the names of the agency that he worked for. Some curious folks on "democratic underground" for example were able to find these pieces of information with nothing but goggle and the DC phone books.
You are just about the only real journalist/reporter left. Without you the American people are left with the White House handouts and the faint hearted who still call themselves reporters. I understand that sponsors and profit margins are more important to the news services than ever before, but somewhere there has to be some room for real hard news.
Many of us have counted on you since the first Gulf War for that real raw reporting and I hope that you won't let this story fade away for convenience sake.

Jeff should enlist
If you read the Gannon-Guckert blog today he is on our case about not supporting the troops. He should enlist and put his money where his mouth is.( Perhaps not a good choice of words). He can follow in his leader's illustrious footsteps in military combat. He is young enough, able enough, and surely patriotic enough.
