Helicopter “crash” kills 31 soldiers! Accidental crash doubtful!Interesting that every time multiple soldiers die in Iraq, the administration links it to an “accident” or a supposed “crash.” These helicopters are just crashing? They are not being shot down by mobile SAMs or gun fire? I believe the US pilots are the best in the world and it’s hard to believe they just “crash” all the time. And interesting, Bush denied knowledge of exactly how the helicopter “crashed.” He doesn’t want to give details because he knows it’s cover story for combat casualties. The white house thinks that the US public will not hold bush accountable for “accidental deaths” in Iraq. Eventually the white house cover ups and lies will get so high they won’t be able to hide them and some honest media member will take bush down!!!!!!!

Name one
Honest press member that is.
They're being aborted
that's the terminology we should use.
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

There are so many missions being flown and in such stressful conditions that I think it's entirely possible that many of these are legitimate (though at some point, preventable) accidents. Our people over there are maxed out on the work that they have to do ... the pilots & crews are probably exhausted. There's so much confusion there that even an honest investigation of an accident might take days to conclude that a crash was actually a loss due to enemy (or friendly) fire. It was also explained to me once that the sand is a big problem for these helicopters. I'm not qualified to say one way or the other.
I looked into it because I couldn't understand why we had so many crashes. However, please do not let my answer be confused with an attempt to add credibility to this administration's explanations of these accidents. As a general rule, if this administration says something, I'm inclined to believe the opposite. I also agree with the OP that the administration finds it more appealing to blame an aircraft loss on a pilot error or other accident, rather than on enemy fire, but I would hope that the military would honor their follow soldiers by telling the truth. That's just a hope, though. I have no such hope for the Bush administration.
helicopters
I was surprised by the head-on collision of two helicopters at the start of the war.
Either something is fundamentally flawed at air control or its cheaper means for Mr. Bush to kill his soldiers.
ATC
Maybe they privatized Air Traffic Control. Can KBR do that too?
Bill? Bill?
The military has it's own ATC
The military has it's own ATC, but in a combat situation things can, and often do, go wrong. Recall the Iranian hostage rescue operation, and the collision of the helicopters in that attempt.
Helicopter Crash
The repug controlled media will always mention fatalities in Iraq by separating out "accidental deaths," like it matters to the families of the dead!!!!! The dead should have never been in Iraq!!!
They still come back in flag
They still come back in flag draped coffins, whether their unarmored Humvee was hit by an RPG or they slipped in the latrine in the Green Zone. They should never have been there, period. If you want to support the troops, scream to everyone who will listen to bring them home, right now.
