Can someone explain me how a person that opposes gay marriage can vote for Dick Cheney? He actually supports it and proudly.

Some people are either so in denial about their own reasons or they have been so brainwashed that they cannot think clear and cannot realize how irrational this is, even if you slap them in the face.

I think republicans wanted to punish Kerry for a position taken by a MA court on this issue, but did not want to punish Cheney for his “own” position on this issue. The same way that in 2000 they wanted to punish Gore for Clinton’s mistake and now they did not want to punish Bush for his “own” mistakes. Where is fairness for a change? Fairness is a great “moral value”.

It is frightening to see how many millions of Americans think or “think they are thinking”. With so many information available in this age of communication and still there are people that can read and write but cannot think rationally by themselves. It is just sad!!
