Bring the Backbone Campaign's Procession for the Future to Your Campus!

As you know, getting media attention and recruiting for our causes can sometimes feel dreary. The Backbone Campaign has learned that in terms of media and recruitment - SIZE MATTERS! Therefore we've created our Procession for the Future parade, consisting of over 20 giant puppets, icons and colorful banners. The Procession stands out and communicates that We the People are taking the lead, that progressive solutions are attainable for a beautiful future, and that being part of the movement is loads of fun! At each Procession for the Future destination, local community activists and student organizations will enjoy a unique visibility and recruitment opportunity. They can host keynote speakers drawn from the Progressive Cabinet, mount a colorful parade, and receive Arts for Social Change and Creative Tactics trainings by the nation's leading direct action organizations such as: Rain Forest Action Network, Ruckus Society, Code Pink, Corporate Accountability, Oil Change International, and the Backbone Campaign.

The Backbone Campaign is organizing a Spring Campus Tour for our Procession for the Future project right now! We need to schedule our stops and create local host committees as soon as possible. Funding to bring the imagery and artist-organizers is in place! Local host committees and campus organizations will be responsible for local logistics, volunteer recruitment, promotion, and honorariums and travel expenses for speakers and additional trainers.
