DNC Election Focus vs. DLC Smoke & Mirrors

Pictures actually do speak louder than words. Compare these two website “front pages” with each other, and see the difference for yourself.

You will notice that the true representatives of the Democratic Party, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), feature Obama’s picture on their front page, and are actively trying to both raise money for his campaign, and to promote a unifying Democratic agenda. They also provide links to organizing groups in each of the 50 states.

In stark contrast, the Democratic “Leadership” Council’s (DLC) front page features a picture of Al From’s appointed lackey, Harold Ford, Jr. (along with Hillary’s pics), and only promotes their own corporate-pandering agenda. There is not one mention of support for the Democratic Party, or the Democratic Party’s nominee for the highest office in the land, and his running mate.

Which organization displays genuine Democratic leadership and promotes Democratic Party unity? You decide, but here’s a hint: DNC representatives are democratically elected by grassroots Democrats at the state level.

Wow.

Very interesting comparison Bill.

Are you sure you did not link to Saturday Night Live?

I'm not sure that SNL could

I'm not sure that SNL could come up with a skit that adequately sums up the DLC's "centrist" neoconservative divisiveness.

Afterall, one of the DLC's poster boys is Joe Lieberman. You know, McSame's buddy, past DLC Chairman, and co-PNAC supporter...

Here is a link to an OpEd

Here is a link to an OpEd piece in today's WaPo, written by Harold Ford Jr, the Chairman of the DLC:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/10/AR2008101002558.html?hpid=opinionsbox1

If you can make it through the entire article, you will notice that the last paragraph is a call for McSame to stop his negativity, and to "focus on the future with straight talk and big ideas."

The piece is actually a plea for McSame change gears, and attempt to win this election at this late stage in the game. The DLC has just proven, again, that they are Blue Dog neoconservatives attempting to scam Democrats into voting for their shared corporate McSame/Lieberman/Dubya agenda.
