Well Written
I loved the analoogy. Very apt. Thank you for summing it up as simply as it could possibly be accomplished.
Look at yourself
Senator McCain....Grow up, you did it, you own it. Why shouldn't you be held to the same standards the rest of us have to. You have seven homes, do you ever think about those who have none now? The only reason the Republican party hasn't done anything about alternative energy, is because there's less money\profit to be made in it. If we can't supply ourselves with oil that we supposedly need, without endangering our environment, then why isn't the Government putting our money where their mouth is. Yes, it's our money, our taxes, taken out of our pockets. You all spend it like it was your own. You need to know, we need to get our troops out of Iraq...as soon as possible. Their oil is theirs, not ours. It is not money that is evil, it is the GREED of it..and this economy has be pilfered and destroyed from GREED. I live on a measly Social Security check under $1,000 a month...could you do that if you had to? Try it, see how it feels. Walk in my shoes, walk in someone else's, who make $6.85 an hour. It is the labor force that keeps this economy going, not the CEO and administrative. Yes, the Republicans took the labor\manufacturing out of our country and gave it to others. Why? because labor was cheaper. How much cheaper was it to recall everything because of lead and poisionous chemicals in contaminated food? Ha!! Smarten up Senator...you're not perfect, stop sneering at others. If this sounds harsh...evidently it needs to be, because you won't stop your nasty ads and mud throwing.
I believe that this forum
I believe that this forum entry (and its comments) very succinctly sums up our current Constitutional crisis, and the moral decay which has caused it.
Over the past few decades, both Republican (Nixon, Lee Atwater, Rove, Gingrich, Raygun, and the Bush family) and Democratic (DLC faux-Democratic, "centrist," Blue dog) neoconservatives have turned this country into nothing more than a money-laundering machine for the military/industrial cabal.
They have based all "political," and social decisions on a phony trickle-down bill-of-goods sold to the American People; while passing laws, and implementing "executive orders" which allow them to legally rob the People's treasury for obscene corporate profits. Their lack of morals knows no bounds, and includes the killing of innocent civilians, the illegal invasion of soverign nations, and the tearing down of the most basic tenents of our Constitution.
If we do not stop this runaway, patently unAmerican, group of home-grown, "white collar," terrorists with this next election, we will have only ourselves to blame. This may very well be our last chance to save this young experiment in Democracy, and to leave a better America for our children.
If we don't fight them here in the USA, we will indeed be fighting them in all corners of the globe wherever their malevolent, corporate influence may reach. Unlike Osama, these PNAC-spawned terrorists are (albeit unwillingly) protected by the mightiest armies in the world.
??????
Your thinking is very clear. This could work. You might have to pepper it with a couple hunderd thousand. That seems like something Mr. Keat..ooops, Mr. McCain can grasp.
There are no innocents here
The worst thing you can do during a time of crisis, is going around and blaming each other for the action, or inaction which did put this nation almost on its knees.
Instead of facing each other and admitting the wrongs done by both parties, that little partisan backstabbing needs to take place in order to look a little better than the other guy.
Both candidates don't have the slightest idea how to get out of this mess yet, they all act like experts.
McCain said this afternoon that he will get us out of this mess, but failed to say how he is going to do it.
Obama on the other hand, has all the knowledge to determine that there is indeed something wrong, but he too fails to come up with a plan of action, in the what, why and the how.
One thing is for sure, the mess started in Washington and the wholesale cleaning required to get rid of all the trash, has to start there.
From the straight talking McCain to the smooth talking Obama, the voters are looking for somebody with obvious leadership abilities and sorry to say, none of them stands out.
This lying, name calling and pointing fingers is not a qualifying tool to govern this nation and both of them, I hate to say, act like kids who have a disagreement in the sandbox they are playing in.
In order to know who to choose, the candidates have to be an open book, honest, decisive and down to earth, with a language for everybody to understand, stopping talking in circles.
My wife told me the other day that she wished she knew as much about Obama, as she knew about McCain, but the mysterious cloud hanging over Obama, made her hesitant to form an opinion.
Less than a month to go and we still don't know who is who, what is what and how they plan to pull it off.

THE Problem.
The economic problem is quite clear.
A preliminary:
THE Problem:
THE solution:
If you wish I can explain the ethics involved in this simple solution, and the mechanism by which it can be made to happen, HOWEVER, most everyone wants to begin economic discussions without discussing the fundamentals.
This has been done of late almost exclusively by Conservatives. Economic Conservatism is demonstrably false but has been crammed down our throats in order to achieve WHAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED: Mega Wealth in the hands of the few.
