I can not wrap my brain (or heart) around even the possibility
As a human being I cannot relate to Sarah Palin's lack of concern for the welfare of the planet. As an environmentalist I cannot relate to her abject disregard for the creatures unique to her state's climate. As an American I cannot relate to her politics. As a woman I cannot relate to her dictatorial notions of the rights of others regarding their own bodies. As a parent of teens I find her "lack of information" stand against sex-education to be out and out abuse (humans, as all creatures are, were designed with the desire to procreate) the desire is natural, Knowledge is Freedom. As a mother I find her lack of a sense of responsibility to her own family, pregnant teenage daughter and a 5 month old baby's needs to be abominable- I could never ask her to put her daughter or baby's needs aside for the position (which is inevitable) nor do I want her if she would volunteer to do so.
Selfish, power hungry, and VERY frightening
Palin has a very sick little boy who will need constant attention, probably, for the rest of his life. It is not sexist to ask how she will povide for her son and the rest of the country at the same time. This child's health changes the entire landscape of the question with regard to whether a women can have a high powered career and a family.
My second thought to ponder: I've heard that in his book, "Faith of My Fathers", McCain admitts to giving the Viet Cong secret military information while he was a POW. The information concerned the carrier that he flew from and the squadron that he flew with. I don't know, maybe its just me, but that doesn't sound like a hero. It sounds like somehting else that begins with a "T" and ends with an "R".
