currnetly we have a system that allows anyone to be elected to a post as long as they have enough powerful connections or enough money to get a louder distorted form of truth out there for the people to go by.  Our politicians think that their most important job is to do whatever they can to get money for their districts and for our country.  This is even at the cost of our lives, our jobs, our homes, our children, our country, our values, our lands, our forests, our rivers and oceans, our mountains, our animals, our honor and our dignity.  Anything goes nowdays and to get elected they say exactly what they "think" we need or want to hear, which is not ussually what they can actually pull off when elected.  Each party seems to have a set agenda and they all push towards that.  The lobbyists, the corporations, the financial institutions, the military, and the intelligence communities all give the politicians their input as to the direction of things and our voices can only be heard when we vote, or protest, or contact these politicians on a regular basis.  As long as money is the root of our systems there has been a complete lack of honor, integrity, honesty and higher moral purpose.  However long we cling to this corrupt system we can never achieve a higher, more peaceful, more equal, more prosperous level of existance.  Yes a gas well in my back yard brings money to the community and we can all rush to the stores and buy more stuff that we dont really need and throw it away only to further pollute and degrade our environment.  but if the ground were to become unstable because of earthquake or floods or whatever those wells and gas lines would be blowing us up.  Yes the politicians get a pat on the back for doing things for money and yes the systems we have built are all about money but it cannot guarantee us a happy prosperous safe environment, just as their half truths and outright deceptions to get elected cannot guarenty tjat they will.  Can we get some thinking men in there who do what is best for everyone and not just a select few?  Can we get back to a system where the elected want to serve the people and not just the rich.  Yes we all now have a pretty good idea about bush cheney and the countless deceptions and outright lies but hey, all these other elected officials were right there with them and went along with every decision knowing the truth and still are going along as we speak.  we need more system guards to ensure that these things do not happen anytime soon.  These representatives nowdays get up there like they are movie stars or something and we blindly lap it all up.  Lets get this system fixed

I expected great things from the Democrat congress because they pledged to give us oversight and clean up Washington. Unfortunately Nancy Pilosi was put in charge and broke that promise. She should have been removed immediately. Now she sits back and lets her good friend Henry Waxman unseat John Dingell.  John Dingell dedicated his life to helping and protecting workers and the poor. He is the most decent, hardest working, and most dedicated represenative in congress. What a dirty deal. Nancy Pilosi, please do us all a huge favor and resign as speaker of the house immediately. Get out of the way or do the job that we the voter expected.
