McCain "Back to Work" Is he joking?

McCain’s latest act of idiocy? His challenge for Obama and other Democratic Congress members to http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/04/mccain-lets-go-back-to-work/ return to work to pass an energy bill. This is coming from http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/07/11/reid_chastises_mccain_for_not.html" a man who hasn’t voted on any legislation in the Senate since April. In fact, Sen. John McCain has one of the worst voting records in Congress. http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/m000303/ He’s missed a whopping 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress.

Astonishingly, http://mediamatters.org/items/200711050007 McCain has missed more votes than any other senator since the convening of Congress in January, with the exception of Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD), who <A http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=3532159&page=1 suffered from a brain hemorrhage, and spent months recuperating.

Do people actually buy this shit? Of course! There are many who still believe we never landed on the moon and that Barack is a Muslim.

Attention, Barack Obama: This is a golden opportunity! It’s time nail this pompous ass on being the hypocrite he is! You should know from Senator John Kerry’s experience, you can’t play nice with the GOP slime machine.

But what he hasn't missed

are those big, fat government checks.  Not the one he gets pay raises on whenever congress decides they need another one, and not his social security check.  And we all know how much McCain needs his social security check, don't we?

Hey, Ferragamos aren't cheap!  I don't know about you, but I feel honored to think that maybe one of my tax dollars went toward the purchase of his shoes!

He also hasn't missed

being subsidized by the sale of alchoholic beverages to minors.

As many are aware, Cindy McCain’s company, Hensley & Co. has afforded the McCains much wealth and influence in Phoenix, AZ. Cindy is the chairwoman of the privately held company and shares about 68% of its stock with her children and John McCain’s son.

This could prove to be a major conflict of interest in John McCain’s political campaign, and possibly split his support right down the middle, especially among the Evangelical community. According to this article:

Hensley, founded by Cindy McCain's late father, holds federal and state licenses to distribute beer and lobbies regulatory agencies on alcohol issues that involve public health and safety.

The company has opposed such groups as Mothers Against Drunk Driving in fighting proposed federal rules requiring alcohol content information on every package of beer, wine and liquor.
