Send Rove to jailTell the House Judiciary Committee to hold Karl Rove in contempt and send him to jail. This sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Well, it's not. We have a unique opportunity right now to send Karl Rove to jail, but only if we take immediate action. All we have to do is pressure the 40 members of the House Judiciary Committee, make them hold Rove in contempt and send him to jail. We've never had such a direct opportunity to hold Rove accountable. No, this is not enough punishment for his years and years of crimes, but it's a huge start, and will send a very clear message to the entire Bush administration.

Nice idea Annie, but the chances of Rove going to...
trial/prison are very slim--matter of fact they are almost non-existant. At this time, Bush has already prepared over 1000 pre-emptive pardons for members of his administration and will continue to pardon more before he is forced to leave office.
They will all go free to enjoy their collective ill-gotten gains and relish their participation in the destruction of our Constitution.
Our reps/senators will do nothing to stop BushCo from further depredations against the people of America. They will all go free in the end.
To hope for more is just a distraction at this time.

The below was recently sent to my Representative, John Olver.
July 19, 2008
Dear Sir:
Two years ago, when I came down here to the Washington metropolitan area to work on a project, the court in Northampton called me for jury duty. Although it was inconvenient, I went--because that was my duty as a citizen. As a veteran, and therefore one who took an oath to support and defend the Constitution "against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC," it is a bit much to witness Karl Rove ignore a duly issued subpoena from the House Judiciary Committee. For those of us who were prepared to die so that the Constitution might live, there is only response to such arrogance--holding him in INHERENT contempt of Congress and have him arrested and placed in the Capitol jail. That is the duty of the House of Representatives.
Sincerely,
Marvin Jones
