Protests Planned for Bush's Inauguration

By Glynn Wilson

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 3 (SDN) ‹ Democratic and independent activists from all over the United States are planning protests to coincide with the inauguration of George W. Bush on Jan. 20, 2005.

Several Washington-based groups will lead the protests, including United for Peace and Justice and D.C. Anti-War Network (DAWN). While spokesmen for both groups were reluctant to talk about specific numbers, some activists on Internet Weblogs, discussion forums and e-mail listservs have been calling for as many as 10 million people to descend on the nation's capital.

"We are urging people to go to Washington," said Bill Dobbs, media coordinator for United for Peace and Justice. "We also encourage local protests and the white ribbon wearing" campaign for peace.

The goal is to show the world that Americans are just as fed up with the U.S. electoral process as the youth movement in the Ukraine, he said.

Corporate Fascist Media 2000/2004

I am very concerned about the state of the Us Media today. ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox are all controlled by corporate fascists bent on controlling this country from within ultra conservative right lackeys in Congress. The last time that Conservatives and Corporations under the Republicans had this kind of power they destroyed us in the 1920s. And we just must not let this happen again. Election 2000, was stolen. Election 2002 was stolen. Election 2004 was stolen. I fear a corporate fascist media brewing in the news media mainly, and it smells like a rat that Bush won 2000 and 2004. And that in 2002, Republicans won control of the Congress becoming the first party in 68 years to keep control of Congress under their White House Watch. In 2002 Georgia was stolen. Roy Barnes and Max Cleland won. Saxby Chambliss and George "Sonny" Perdue are thieves. We have got to keep note on this, because the Media will stop at nothing, especially Fox ABC CBS and Nbc to destroy Democrats. The American people are on the side of Democrats right now, but these elections are being stolen. I hope people have a good say about this. We must join together against the Fascist News Media. Any mention of Rush Limbaugh "liberal media" is a false 100% lie. Rush is a liar, thief, disintegrated evil bastard who cannot even help himself because he sits on his butt every day mouthing off a bunch of lies. I have listened to his program within the last month or so with my good friend Terri Green in Galesburg IL at work, she is my colleague, and we have counted nearly a hundred lies through one program of his show. We have got to keep track of the Media. ABC/Disney, CBS/Viacom, NBC/General Electric , and Fox (faux = rupert murdoch and soon to be probably his two even more evil sons.

An Open Letter To The Democratic Party

An Open Letter to the Democratic Party

By John Rudolph

"Don't think that those voters feeling the twin stings of defeat and abandonment won't remember this four years hence."

Re: http://www.augustafreepress.com/stories/storyReader$29248

Chris Graham, editor of the Augusta Free Press couldn't have said this any better. John Kerry actually did abandon all of you.

To summarize the highlights of John Kerry during his short tour in Vietnam, obtaining purple hearts over minor wounds, his traitor-like maneuvers when he lied while true American heroes died in North Vietnamese prisoner of war camps, in the Senate hearings when he returned, his attempts to use others just for him to make it up the ladder by taking advantage of them, and his tossing of his medals in direct disrespect to his fellow servicemen and his country, it is much needed to be said to all of the Democrats who voted for this man "I told you so."

Never forget that it was John Kerry who put his military record up as a campaign front. He refused to post his entire record for public viewing. John Kerry asked for it. As Chris put it so eloquently well, as if to the drumbeat of a well-written and well-composed lesson plan, never forget those two words: defeat and abandonment. He left you like a fat rodent in a cat farm. He split very quickly, and didn't put up the fight that all of us conservatives hoped that he would have. Perhaps this is a lesson for all of us to remember. Both parties regretted that he didn't put up his dukes. I wanted the vote to be stretched out for another five weeks. I wanted Kerry to fight back, because he would have made a bigger fool of himself, especially with Teresa opining at his podium - but then again, for my Democratic Party buddies, it would have been something akin to Custer's last stand.

But Kerry was your hero, no matter how you slice it. After all, he was all that you had left.

No pun intended.

I regretted seeing Howard Dean fall from grace. He was the Democratic Party's best candidate. He was your finest horse. If he were a conservative, I would have voted for him. I was actually getting a bit envious; you guys had the right man, and it was the media who blew it for you! Never forget that it was the media that blew his "yell" far out of proportion. They talked and talked about it until the poor guy had to concede and fall out of the race. But that is expected of the media.

The biggest lesson for the left: make sure you pick a strong leader for a candidate the next time around. Get a better man. You should work now on finding him. That, realistically for the Democrats, will be like finding life on Pluto. But he is out there somewhere, just like Waldo (look for the striped sweater). Make sure he's a lot like President Bush - a man with morals, spirit, and a tough sense of leadership and the will to stand up for what he believes is right. Make sure he has the character to stick to a decision and won't change it because it's not popular. Get someone who doesn't opine on his "war hero" status after spending an unjustifiably short tour in Vietnam, and a strong candidate who won't allow his wife to walk all over him and run off at the mouth in front of the candidate's podium. Teresa helped destroy his chances of making president. She should have been in the back serving punch, like a good obedient first lady would have.

Good luck in 2008. Boy, is that a long way off or what?

ROFL! So, let me get this straight:

1) This person is telling us how to win because he wants to lose?

and

2) Women belong in the back of the bus.

This item is offensive on so many levels. That's something I've learned to expect, coming from a party that is so regressive that it believes women should be seen, but not heard.

It reminds me of Iraq.

If it weren't so ridiculous to tell the democratic party that we need someone just like George W. Bush, I'd be angry. It's just pitiful.

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

We are regressive?

Regressive? I think not!

I deliberately added in the comment about women to get people like yourself irked and it worked.

Thanks!

That's right. R E G R E S S I V E

I don't give two shits in the wild woods what you added/why.

The GOP is regressive, and quite frankly, I would laugh my head off if I were to find out that some nice women ganged up and turned you 'soprano.'

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
