Warrantless Wiretapping Vote

I just called Rep. Susan Davis' office to voice my concern over Steny Hoyer's bill that grants immunity. I said I'd like to speak to the representative.

The receptionist said Davis was at that very moment listening to Steny Hoyer's speech on the House floor and that she would give Davis my message.  In my message I said I thought such cooperation between big corporations and the government was fascist and un-American.

I added that I had been paying attention to how Rep. Davis had been voting, and that I had been encouraged by some of her recent voting activity.

The receptionist replied that Davis really does care and that calls from her constituents make a big difference to her. She thanked me for chiming in.

So please, call and make your voice heard.  You *can* make a difference!

Telecom Immunity

I called Rep. Susan Davis early this afternoon, and found out that she did vote against this latest, and let's hope, last attempt to give immunity to ATT and other telecoms who engaged in illegal activities. I was wishing I'd called earlier, but at least she voted against it, and she knows there's one more voter out here who is watching and cares how she votes.
