Iraq Funding Vote
I just called Norm Dicks' office in D.C. and spoke with an assistant to urge Norm to vote "no" on Steny Hoyer's reprehensible compromise with war criminals. It is my firm belief that we must seize control of the District's voice to ensure the opinions of all have been heard. It would be interesting if Norm could set up some kind of barometer to list by percentages who is "for" or "against" various issues being voted on, National and Local.
I am very partisan, but I know some in our District support the president and his minions. In the interest of "fair and balanced" reporting, we should be able to see the percentage of people who vote either way, so that we know what work is cut out for us on all of the issues: if we are way ahead in some things, we should concentrate on the matters that we appear weak in.
Solidarity,
G. Glick.
