Iraq $165B Vote

I called Betty Sutton's to ask her to vote against funding bill for Iraq. Her aide said she did not know how Betty was going to vote. Don't you think if you worked in her office you would know that?

Adam Schiff call

Called; received usual "I'll pass it on to the Congressman" reply.

$165B for extending war

I called Jerrold Nadlers office and whoever responded also didnt know how he planned to vote. Stressed that my husband and I both urged him to vote against the additional funding, asked him to support impeachment, and congratulated him on bringing out the torture information.

Ron Paul call

My call response was the usual, "I'll pass the information along."

$165B Vote today

I called the Capitol and spoke to a very nice young woman in Lloyd Doggett's office.  I started by telling her how much we love Lloyd down here in Austin.  She laughed.  I made the recommended comments, we thanked each other and all in under a minute.  I asked just about my whole email list to do the same.  Won't you?

165 Billion Iraq vote

I called Carolyn Maloney's office (New York City-10022) and spoke to her secretary.  She took my name and zip code and said she would give it to Congresswoman Maloney immediately.

$165B Iraq vote

I called Rep. Doris Matsui's office (D-CA) and asked the aide to ask Rep. Matsui to vote no on this bill. I was told "thank you" (never got that response before) and was asked for my name. I asked if Rep. Matsui was voting "no" and was told that yes, she is voting no.

Iraq $165B VOTE

Called Rep. Kildee (MI-105) and spoke with his secretary. He took my name and city and said he would pass on the "NO" vote advisement. Did anyone know this vote was going to happen sooner than today? I found out by email this morning. If someone had prior knowledge (form a news website or blog, etc.) could you please email me with the site name so I can stay more abreast on these happenings? Thanks! markschu@hotmail.com

$165B Vote today

I called Rep. Jackie Speier's office at 11:15 PST today and told the man who answered to please tell Rep. Speier I wished her to vote "no" on this vote.  He said he would pass the message on to her after taking down my name and address.

Klein's office $165 B Iraq vote

Called Klein's office and asked his position on the $165B funding vote and the aide didn't know how he would be voting. I said I would be reporting his unknown position and be watching the vote closely. I asked why Congress keeps funding Bush's war, and why I had gone door to door in 2006 with Klein literature saying he opposed the war and would stop it? The aide said they would be sending out yet another form letter and took my name and address.

Call Putnam's office

I called rep. Putnam's office today and stated that I thought the funding for the the war in Iraq should be on a bill alone and not comingled with other approriations.  The aid took my name and said she would leave a message.

Putnam is a war-monger who is in lock-step with the president.  It is hopless, but it is the only system we have.

I got Allen Boyd's office

He was on the floor and they wrote my name down in a list of other's who had called. So I don't know if it got to him or not. They don't know how he was planning to vote.

The bill passed!!!

The bill passed in Congress!!! I just heard it on MSNBC.

165 billion for iraq

I called my Sen. C. McCaskill, Sen. K. Bond, & Rep R. Carnahan
on 06/19/08 about this issue and informed them of my demand for them to
vote on the issue as outlined on this site.

We lost the vote but I tried!

$165B for Iraq

I called Rep. Joe Courtney's office. Answered by an intern with no information who would 'pass along my concerns' to the Congressman. I insisted on talking with a staffer. Staffer believed Mr. Courtney would vote No on the war funding and Yes on the accompanying domestic package. I haven't been able to confirm yet.

Dennis Moore's office --

I called Dennis Moore's office and his staff intoned repeatedly "We are not allowed to give out that information" to nearly every question I asked -- except he did say that Mr. Moore checks in to see how many calls he has received and what the consensus is before he places his vote. So ... I said "Vote NO!"

I hoped this site would tell me HOW DENNIS MOORE VOTED. Is that here somewhere?

Keith Ellison

I called Keith Ellison's office and told them to vote no. The individual that was on the phone was very courteous. They took my name and address.
