Obama/Clinton

To keep us completely united as a party then we really need to have Obama/Clinton on the same ticket, this is the only SURE way to get to the White House.  This whole mess has been tearing our party apart and that is exactly what the GOP was hoping for, lets not let this happen.

We need to unite as one party.

We also need to know what Hillary plans to do, now.

That is undecided.

She said she will " make no decisions tonight".

How does a party unite when...

the two leading contenders each won only half the party.

That is where we stand right now and I see no change coming by the time we reach Denver.

Pelosi and Reid and Dean are attempting to stop any further debate by squelching half the party. The same trio who have taken Impeachment off the table.

Obama, who through inexperience and/or personal political stupidity(playing at politics in other states)took his own name off the ballot was not only awarded half the delegates from Michigan, but also managed to steal 4 of Hillary's delegates.

Question is: Can Obama win the GE with only half the party behind him?

Doubtful.

Grinch, the Serenity Prayer

Grinch, the Serenity Prayer comes to mind: Please grant me the patience to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Now that the primary process is all but over, I believe that it is time to move on to supporting the nominee and attempting to unite the various factions within the Democratic Party.

As you may recall, Will Rogers was entirely correct when he said: "I don't belong to any organized political party -- I'm a Democrat." At some point we need to stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ah Bill...it all depends on exactly how...

one reads that particular prayer does it not?

The first part is just fine. Parts 2 and 3 do still apply.

Too true Grinch. The

Too true Grinch. The "depends" factor is based on whether the focus is inward, or outward. Finding the internal/external equilibrium is the hard part...;-)

Love that Serenity Prayer!

We'll never know until both candidates

work together to beat McCain in November.

Obama has already tried to contact Hillary for that very reason.

Yes, unity sure beats the the damn division
and civil war our party has undergone for the
past year.

UNITE?

We live in the divided states of america. It is more divided now that the super delegates have turned their back on a candidate who has been loyal to the party and has dedicated her life to the party. You call that united? I will, for the first time in my life, vote republican in the presidential election so we can have Hillary in 2012. I strongly feel she should walk away from the party that has abandoned her and run as an independent. United? The democratic party will never be united!

JUST SAY NO BO!

What did you just say?

Vote republican, and generations of our sons daughters, Grandsons and daughters will be drafted, as McCain is a war dog, stuck within the military mindset that has got us where we are today. I am a Vietnam Vet and I`ve been there. We must learn deplomacy, or for generations, we will be doomed.

Befree will be a memory, if McCain gets in.IMHO if you have ever wanted things to be different, this is the time, Dem Pres, and Dem, Reps, would be the first time in many years. Nothing can be accomplished with a Pres. of one party, and reps of another, smells like more quagmire.

We had a first hand veiw of a Republican Pres. and Republican Majority. Don`t want anymore. Maybe the dems won`t be better, but we can`t be any worse off than we are now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you use mass transit

or something? Are you filthy rich? I gotta tell you, I can't afford gasoline anymore.

Usama bin Forgotten

And you're going to enlist, correct?

I mean, how else could somebody in good conscience vote Republican nowadays?

--------------------------------------------------------------

The troops have been left to rot in Stop Loss while tens of millions of men fan the flames of War WITHOUT enlisting. (To say nothing of them directing our efforts AWAY from getting Bin Laden).

It's something you need to think about.

"she should walk away from the party "

Hillary didn't do that, did she?

Fighting McCain and the threat of another four years of
a just-like-Bush administration are more important to
her.

I wish more Democrats would follow her lead.

How could a Clinton voter move to McCain?

Befree66, I have to ask you how a professed Hillary voter can even think of voting for McCain?

McCain and Hillary Clinton could not be less similar in beliefs and policies. McCain for example:

From McCain’s pre-Iraq invasion speeches to his campaign’s recent embrace of Bush’s imperial presidency, American voters should realize that if they choose John McCain, they will be locking in at least four more years of war with much of the Islamic world while selling out the Founders’ vision of a democratic Republic where no one is above the law."

Voting For MC Cane

Submarine   USS Wahoo  ss238
Lady Di,

See my post on the grumbling Democrats that say they are voting for McBush instead of Obama, that really pisses me off.
They are not REAL Democrats if they are not going to vote for our nominee, I can believe with his policies the same as Bush's how any sane Democrat could vote for MC Cane??

Makes me boil

Obama running mate?

Clinton for V.P. would seem to be the logical choice I agree.  Yet, I don't know at this time if she would settle for second banana.  As a person, I really like John Edwards.  But would putting him on the ticket actually hurt Obama more than help him?  Thoughts and comments on this are welcome.

Running mate

Wake up Elvis. John Edwards has already stated he will turn down any offer to be BO's running mate. He wants the presidency, not VP.

Wrong person, wrong time.

I think Edwards would have made the best president, people couldn`t be satisfied, unless the women and Minorities were represented, therefore not even giving Edwards the time of day. Now we settle for left overs, whats new? Having left overs anyone?
