MOTHERS DAY PEACE-NIC & PARADE FOR PEACE

NOON to 2 PM Dupont Circle
This year Mothers Day is taking on the growing crisis of Iraqi refugees. Medea Benjamin just returned from Jordan and Syria. Hear her stories. Make a donation on Mothers' Day for Iraqi refugees (hint: bring your checkbook.)

May 11 Mothers Day Event schedule:
NOON: Peace-nic. Pack your picnic basket and join us for family fun with Peace-loving Dr. Patch Adams and CODEPINK. Games, music, kids banner-making, face-painting, story-time, crafts and more. We'll provide the CODEPINK Cookies and Lemonade!

1:30 PM Mothers Day Peace Parade. A peace stroll up Connecticut Ave. to 18th and Church Street, NW to celebrate Mothers Day! We'll hand out flowers as we go.

2:00 PM Labyrinth Walk For Peace. We'll end our procession at St. Thomas Parish garden. Be inspired by a reading of Julia Ward Howe's Mothers Day proclamation for Peace and walk the Labyrinth for Peace.
