Al Gore for President;
I have no confidence in ANY of the candidates presently running for president.Mr, Gore has been proven right in all of his predictions of the consecuences of this disasterous and illegal war for oil, from the beginning. The so called Democrats we have in Congress are too cowardly to do the job they were elected to do.If Hillary is elected we will be no better off than we are now.We may as well support Bush/Cheney as to elect her.She is too anxious to prove how tough she is.We need a leader with vision and the wisdom of experience.Mr.Gore is that man.Al Gore/Bill Richardson for '08
Al Gore for President
YES! Thank you!
Why?
I would like to ask you why you would not support Senator Kucinich? I think if he had enought support to break thru the MSM black-out he would make a better candidate than any running so far.
Graycat, first off, Dennis is not a senator...
he is a representative of a small part of Ohio. Geez, lets not promote this guy beyond his ability to function.
Dennis has problems. Some from the past and some he is presently stumbling over. He has lots of ideas but none of them will ever come to fruition under his leadership.
A great statesman he is not.
A mind once expanded can never return to its original dimensions.

The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.
Kucinich
If Dennis received as much coverage from the media as Hillary and Obama, he would run away with the nomination.
The Number One problem is people are easily, and often hopelessly, brainwashed by the media to believe certain candidates are not viable and are therefore willing to vote for an endless variety of brainwashed warmongers.
In the big view, they have no one to blame but themselves.
"When you choose the lesser of two evils, you still end up with evil."
And since Kucinich...
...and me...
...and Progressive X...
...do not receive the media coverage you desire, what does one do, today?
What does one do as a candidate if one wishes to improve the world, today?
---------------------------------------------------------
One requirement:
Gain media attention in the world AS IT EXISTS NOW.
And it could also be that
And it could also be that cream rises to the top. Dennis made a poor showing last time he ran, and he is running an equally poor campaign this time.
That cannot be entirely the fault of we "stupid" Americans, nor the evil press. When your football team loses, do you blame the fans?
Gordon Kobayashi is one of the long-
time infamous Kucinich Brownshirts. This group has attacked this site and many of it's members from the time that Dennis threw his beanie into the presidential ring.
Gordon, here you are persona-non-grata...as is Anita Stewart and others known to us.
If Dennis would run an organized campaign he would have gotten more attention and would have been included in many of the events he cries foul about.
Why don't you guys just stay in your own sandbox and avoid contact with the more reputable sites?
Bye Gordon.

Anne Hathaway: 1556-1623
The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.
Kucinich
He is a Congressman not a Senator. He would make a brilliant President. He has shown great leadership in getting so many members in Congress to oppose the initial authorization of War with Iraq, and now on the Articles of Impeachment. He is the only one unafraid to take on the neocons, the insurance industry, and all the other power brokers driving this country at the moment. He has my vote!
Dennis is not a brilliant individual...
he proved to us all during the last election that he is incapable of organizing and running a presidential campaign. He is doing the same thing again this time around.
Last time around, he ran for the entire year of the primary and still did not have enough electoral votes to outshine Sharpton who dropped out early on.
A great statesman he is not. He has little or no experience on the world stage. He has very little support from his collegues in the House. As a president, he would need their support for anything he wanted to do.
Being the tail end Charlie of this current campaign gives him the opportunity to say anything that comes into his mind. He can talk to UFO pilots or anything else without hurting his campaign...which by the way is going nowhere.
Dennis is a cult. His groupies[I call them Kucinich Brownshirts because of their actions]play a nasty game all over the net...all the time.
Dennis failed to do what was necessary in Iowa and found himself shut out of that state. His response, if you remember, was to whine and cry that he was being neglected.
My personal gripe with this guy is that Diebold is operating in his own state...and he has done nothing about it.
Dennis runs for president as a hobby, not as a serious contender. Don think so? Study what he does and does not do. He had a national conversation set up with his followers. What happened? He didn't want to pay the 50K/100K it would have cost. He didn't have the equipment set up. The date came and went with another embarrasment for him.
If Dennis is very lucky, he might get as much as 10% of the votes in this upcoming primary.
He has almost never gotten the support of the other House members behind any bill he has proposed.
Dennis is simply not a viable candidate.

This is a great idea! Al Gore (President Al Gore) and statesman excellence, VP Dennis Kucinich in 2008
Great combo!!!!
Great combo!!!!
Thank you Democrats. com!
Hey, what took you so long? We've been out here for the longest time working for Mr. AG. Now everybody wants in.
We ain't complaining though!
Gore 4 Prez/All Dem Prez candidates for VP/cabinet
All current Dem candidates for Prez should unite to draft Gore as Prez. Each candidate should sacrifice his/her own ego, campaign and finances, in exchange for a top position in Gore's administration - for the good of the country and of the world!
If that happens - and it is morally incorrect to do anything else - we will immediately have the power to impeach Bush/Cheney, as they so deserve to be, for slashing our Constitution and nearly murdering our democracy!
We will right away have the power to begin healing the damage done to our government and to our self- and world-images!
By so doing, we will once again have the power to lead the world in the only war that matters right now - the war on our human-caused global climate crisis. And as a scientist, I can tell you that it really is a crisis and that, one way or another, our baser nature and our pure numbers and rapidly increasing population growth rate will do us in - unless we let our BETTER nature take hold of and ameliorate this situation.
In other words, we are our own worst enemy - but we can also be our own true heroes, IF we take charge of ourselves - and of the terrible situation we find ourselves in - NOW!
In so doing, we will rescue our children and grandchildren from our former lack of knowledge and our current incompetence and greed. We will stop the wars in Iraq and elsewhere by redirecting the world's energies to a common positive goal. We will greatly improve our economy with all the new jobs that will be created with the new technologies that will be unleashed by abandonning carbon-based fuels and supporting alternatives. And, nearly overnight, we will defeat the naysayers and downies with a joy and confidence in the future - and in ourselves - like none seen before on earth!

Gore is the BEST Candidate...
While Hillary is my senator, whom I've supported and have a great deal of respect for, the truly best candidate to undo this mess is the man who really won the people's approval in 2000... a man with intelligence, vision, and world stature... there just isn't a better choice to lead us than Al Gore, Nobel Peace Prize winner, statesman, gentleman, scholar. AL, ARE YOU LISTENING? THE PLANET NEEDS YOU!!!
Gore / Obama 2008
Gore / Obama 2008
Clinton/Obama
I see the probable Clinton/Obama vs McCain/Guiliani as a winner for Republicans. Romney has changed too many times to suit the republicans and Guiliani will win in the field but not in the caucus votes leaving McCain. If Gore throws his hat into the ring, a Gore/Richardson ticket would be very formidable to any republican ticket. I believe the fresh, idealistic, charismatic Obama can not overcome the obvious limits of his experience. A little schooling by his friend Colin Powell might help him formulate better military and foreign policies. I doubt the republican party will put up Guiliani and have the religious right field their own assuring the democrats of victory. Hillary is loved by 30%, hated by 35%, and will not be voted for by over 50% of the men. A vote on the hedge will probably not go her way with her Rose Law problems and disappearing papers at the White House that the republicans are certain to make public. Guiliani's Kerik and family problems will pale in comparison to Clinton's once the dirt gets flying. Attacking veterans is counter productive, so McCain is off limits to most slime. The sad part is there is no one running on policies that will benefit the working class that has a lowered standard of living under the current policies.
Frankly, I'd rather see a Clinton/Clark ticket...
plenty of reasons to choose that combination.
By the way, despite spending over 100 million of our bucks, the Repugnants failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing on Hillary"s part vis-a-vis Rose Law.
It continues to be interesting to watch you insert these little worthless Brush Bimbo flash items.

Wow
I thought you were opposed to the DLC!! Clark seriously disappointed me endorsing Hillary. Hillary seriously disappoints me daily. I guess that ticket might be good, but it would take the wind out of my sails!!!
Rich, I'm assuming that you are discussing my post...
on a possible team of Clinton/Clark. Yeah, I know she is DLC, but then so are Obama and Edwards. So, of the three leaders, I think that Hillary will ultimately get my vote. See today's bartcop: http://www.bartcop.com
Also see Bob Fertik's blog today on Hillary and her Repugnant opposition.
Hillary is the only candidate who has a plan, is following her plan, and actually attacks the Repigs where they live. She has done, so far, everything she has to do to get the job she wants--passionately by the way.
We need the presidency. We need a veto-proof congress more. If we get all three, then perhaps we can save this country.
Hillary is undeniably the strongest of our three leaders. I note that her opposition are again spouting, word for word, all the negatives contained within Gingrich's and Rove's playbooks.
Trolls are going from site to site(yeah, we had one here already)spouting all the negatives(no links of course)about Hillary and about Bill. The material they cite is from:
[trumpet fanfare]: Jerry Fatwah's The Clinton Chronicles. All the favorite wacko-right lies and distortions of facts are contained in that money-making video and book from Jerry himself. Maybe thats why Jerry is enjoying the smell of burning sulfur at the moment.
So, yeah, I am inclined to want to see a team of Hillary/Wes. They would be head and shoulders above any of the other candidates and would most likely be the people to get done what has to be done. They won't talk about it, they will just do it.
I notice that Hill is the only candidate who has taken on the Repugnants and beaten them at their own game. Stay tuned.

I just
Disagree. Hillary didn't learn her lesson and gave a madman a green light to attack Iran. Will your opinion change if Bush and Cheney bomb Iran before they leave? What about the Chinese dishwasher thing? Does our party really want a person who is so iffy on ending the money in politics? That was a huge gaffe and shows inability to lead.
Edwards has many more plans than Hillary and they appeal a hell of a lot more to grassroots Democrats. Hillary's campaign has already stated she has a primary and general mode, which to me means she is catering to all us "left wing loones" right now, but as soon as she wins she will stab us in the back like the Congress we fought so hard for. I like Clinton but his Presidency was a huge missed opportunity. My own opinion is the last thing our party needs now is their centerist vision, and our agenda getting sidetracked by whos blowing Bill daily.
I respect Clark but he got it wrong. Even with him on the ticket, a vote for Hillary is a vote for the lesser of two evils. While I always vote a straight Democrat ticket, and will again, Hillary as our nominee will seriously take the wind out of my sails and end my enthusiasm for that race. I would much rather fight against McConnell. But hey, if Hillary is the nominee then I will save a lot of money to fight against McConnell with.
I am tired of fighting for the lesser of two evils. The lesser of two evils is still evil, and I choose to fight for things I believe in. I'm sure the Clinton campaign will shed nary a tear over my meager earnings. They have Chinese dishwashers to solicit money from after all.
Rich, none of us KNOW who the nominee will be...
All of the candidates are saying things which appeal to a broad spectrum of voters; few of them are catering to activists--they are attempting to strike a happy medium. After all, Bush suckered a lot of people into voting for him in 2000 by campaigning as a so-called compassionate conservative--a middle of the roader so to speak.
Hillary, Obama, Edwards, and all the also rans(and that is what they look like at this time, are all doing the same thing. They have the same ptiches that Hillary does and they go about their campaigns pretty much like Hillary. Problem for most is that they are not focused on the goal--Hillary is.
Their voting pasts are very similar to the votes that Hillary has made. There are differences between them.
Because of money raised, a tireless campaign, and keeping her goal in sight, Hillary is running a superior campaign to the others.
None of our candidates can do anything for anyone until they are selected as the nominee. Only one of our candidates will be so selected. It will be up to us to get that candidate, no matter which one it is, into office and then back up our votes by making sure we dominate the congress. Candidates have no clout. Only presidents do. Think carefully about that one.
You might also consider that Kerry only got about $25,000 out of Chinatown. Hillary got about 5-6 times that. You see Chinatown as some sort of watershed, I do not.
If Hillary gets the nomination, I have no hesitation in casting my vote for her run at the presidency. For that matter, should miracles happen, I would do the same for Dennis.
You disparage Clark, showing that you do not understand him or the stands he has taken. He is the only individual who has traveled the country helping our candidates run for various positions--not one of the candidates have done that--not even before they entered the race.
Whomever is nominated, our primary goal is to stop the slide to the right of the Courts. That is our imperitive. Only solid backing in the Congress can prevent further destruction of our legal system and Constitutional form of government.
Yeah, you have a bummer in Mitch. Keep in mind that the voters of your state voted for him and have kept him in office.
Hillary, if you have kept up with her campaign, has been moving to the left in her attacks on the right. You seem to be missing this.
In any case, we will just have to wait and see.

We disagree
This comment I disagree with:
One thing I learned in politics the last few years is we have to move away from the America where the biggest bank account assures who will run our country. Hillary's money does little to impress me. You say she is running a superior campaing when it is Edwards that is driving the debate with Progressive vision. It seems to me that to you, "keeping her goal in sight", is doing things like pandering to the right with her Kyl-Leiberman vote. The main thing wrong with this is she cast her lot with a madman. Surely you have seen that!!!
I respect Clark, but I believe he is wrong on Iran and has cast his lot with the DLC and Clinton. He came here too, and I like him but you are wrong. Long before he announced Edwards went around the country helping smaller candidates too. Sometimes even on the state level. I see the Chinatown thing as very bad because it is going to be pounded home in the general if she wins. It will.
Hillary may very well get nominated and as I said I always vote a straight Democratic ticket. All I'm saying is that if she does then Democrats need to quit crying because our party won't stand up for us and what we believe in. Evindently we don't want them to.
Obama can be schooled by Colin Powell???
...On better military and foreign policy??????
Colin was front and center in f@@@@@@ over this Nation.
Fortunately the guys seems to have a soul and is paying for it within so I will not add to his pain with further verbiage.
As to the dirt you allude to about Hillary: Does that not seem worthy of some sources?
Disagree on some major points
First of all, Hillary's rabidly intense haters DO NOT make up half of all male voters; if anything, they make up maybe one-quarter which, although significant, does not necessarily doom her campaign should she be the Democratic Nominee (which for the record, I hope she is not). Besides, the same quarter of men who wouldn't vote for her are the same ones who blindly follow Bush no matter what he does! Second of all, who says you can't smear a veteran? Don't you even know what happened in 2000 when John McCain faced off against Bush in the primaries, particularly by the time they got to South Carolina??? Didn't some closet-case, soulless propaganda king named Karl Rove spread rumors that McCain had fathered an illegitimate black baby with an underaged girl??? While you're busy studying that (at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain#2000_presidential_primary), you might want to ask John kerry about a certain Joseph Goebbels-like organization called Swift Boat Veterans For [Un]Truth.
Third and finally, when it comes to skeletons in the closet, Hillary has NOTHING on Rudy Giuliani. I mean, after all these years, all that Sean (Ins-)Hannity can STILL come up with on Hillary is the same old, tired, beyond-yawn-inducing "she had Vince Foster killed" accusation??? (By the way, how somebody on national radio & TV can get away with accusing a public official of MURDER and get away without so much as a libel suit is beyond the pale of understanding.) In the meantime, Rudy Giuliani still has yet to explain why:
1) He married his second cousin in 1968, supposedly without knowing it before he had it anulled 14 years later.
2) He decided to break the news to his estranged second wife Donna Hanover that he was divorcing her to marry his not-so-secret mistress Judy Nathan not privately, but at a press conference broadcast on all the local NYC TV stations simultaneously. His now-adult children do not speak to him as a result.
3) He irresponsibly put the $13 million Command Center for Emergency Preparedness on the 23rd floor of one of the World Trade Center towers AFTER the site had already been attacked in February of 1993, when such a command center is routinely placed underground in a safe location.
4) He forced the firefighters to use 15-year-old walkie-talkies which failed repeatedly, leaving many stranded in the North Tower when the second plane hit it.
5) He urged President Bush to make longtime political crony Bernard B. Kerik the next secretary of homeland security, after Kerik had already committed the crimes of perjury, embezzlement, racketeeering and illegal wiretapping!
6) He used the brave NYC Firefighters as convenient photo-ops, while contributing to the number dead by not allowing more than 25 firefighters to search for their fallen comrade's bodies at any one time.
7) He instituted a "scoop-and-dump" operation to expedite the clean-up of Ground Zero in lieu of the more time-consuming, but respectful, process of removing debris piece by piece in hope of uncovering more remains. When NYC Firefighters and their families protested this, Giuliani had NYC Policemen arrest 15 firemen. Shameful!
8) Along with EPA Administrator Chistine Todd Whitman, he re-opened Downtown Manhattan a full week earlier than should have been, causing many people to get sick and die from the still-toxic asbestos-and-pulverized-glass-filled air.
If Rudy Giuliani, with all of his failings regarding September 11, 2001, is still willing to play the 9/11 Card for political gain, he should be prepared for the political backlash and fallout. Because it will come, and it will bite him hard!
obama/gore
We need fresh blood...Clinton does not stand up for anything, she hems and haws around subjects and her main goal is to badmouth bush. Yet she wasn't badmouthing him when he decided to invade iraq. For my opinion a combination of Obama and Gore makes much more sense otherwise, me thinks we will regret it.
Gore in 2008
I beg Vice President Gore to please search his heart and consider running for President in 2008. He has so many fantastic ideas and plans that can only come to fruition if he is in command. This country needs him. This world needs him.
I love Al Gore's dedication
I love Al Gore's dedication to this country and all world citizens across the board. He have proven himself to be a winner and that is who we need in the White House. Al Gore you are a true inspiration to the nation and that is just what this nation needs to end this division the Bush Adminstration has made.
Should Al Gore Run for President?
Sorry. I Disagree. Edwards would (Will be) a Great president, Clinton would be a great president. I believe Al Gore is a great guy and has some really nice thoughts, But if he runs .. I wont work for his campain or vote for him. He would only win due to the liberals who are giving up on america .. not voting based on what he can do .. You guys saw what he did w. his last election. He buckled .. we need a president with BALLS, people. Edwards will fight, Clinton will fight .. Let Gore support from the sidelines ..
Gore did not "buckle".
If you remember, it was the Supremes who
decided to put Georgie in office.
Al Gore has the cajones we need in a president.
He was elected president in 2000.
I like John Edwards, myself.
However, Gore has always been my first choice
and I certainly hope he decides to run.
Well
I voted no, because Gore is not running. I wish the people who are supporting him would get behind the Progressive vision of John Edwards. Nobody in this race embodies the ideals of this site like Edwards. Best of all, he comes out with detailed policy proposals to bring our vision to life. We should all get behind him and put him over the top!!
Al Gore was on hell of a Senator and should have been President but if he is enjoying what he is doing now, who are we to end that?
Some random thoughts about Al Gore...
Al has long been a one-issue guy. Does anyone out there remember how he and Tipper took on the music industry a few years back. They were having labels put on CDs and tapes where they felt(fundie thinking)parents should be alerted to wild and violent language.
Ain't a generation of Americans who have attempted to 'shock' their parents. Remember your teen years?
Now he has moved on to the environment. No problem with that. We need someone who will attempt to develop guides for the way we live and use resources.
However, in Al's case, instead of changing the way he lives(at both houses)to economize on utilities/pollution, he buys carbon offsets from companies who have changed the way they operate. I ask you, can you or I do that. Of course not.
Al made the decision to choose Lieberman as his VP. We, on this site then, were stunned. Lieberman had already lost much of his so-called Liberal cover. Bad decision.
During the presidential debates with Bush, Gore lost. He spent much of his time mumbling numbers and other boring trivia. Gore has no sizzle. That is an ongoing problem for him.
Gore has shown himself to be a somewhat less than charismatic leader over the years. A first class bureaucrat--absolutely. He could have continued the programs set in place by Clinton without much effort. But Gore, unlike Clinton, is not an original thinker.
Perhaps he can outgrow this. But real change is almost impossible for Gore...just as it is absolutely impossible for leaopards to lose their spots.
At this time, he is still a non-candidate. Why the dance around the Maypole? Either he is in or he is out. He has a responsiblity to let the people know. But he continues the dance--just as Nader is again dancing.
The candidates have thrown their hats in the ring. Most are doing nothing. Three are trying, two very hard, to make the top spot.
Too late to ask others to join the fray. We must inevitably choose between the two front runners.
It is almost 'show time' right now. Time to decide who has the best chance, and throw your thinking their way.
A mind once expanded can never return to its original dimensions.

The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.
Al Gore said "NO"
and he is happy in what he is do. Yes I'm for Edwards,I see him as a second FDR, at the time he was faced with the same problem, and he did something about it. JRE has to get into the Oval Office before he can achieve this. We can also believe him when he tells us something which makes him way out in front of any other Candidate, the truth and keeping a promise I believe this is something that he was raised with, he is also smart enough to achieve it. If he can clean-up the corruption in our Government, this alone would be a Great achievement and I’m welling to give him a chance because for the last 20 years our Democracy has taken “one hell of a beating” and I don’t think it can take must more of it! One more thing that we can do or can help him is, with all the congress people and Senators are giving speeches to be elected, to ask them a simple question about their fingers in this corruption in our Government! It will surprise you on how it will make them dance around trying to answer you. [This goes for all elected offices]. And if we don’t being it up, this question will never be addressed. The Politicians in Washington have been trying to separate the Government and the people; this is what is destroying our country and our democracy. Our Government is treating the American people as if we where all “terrorist”, just maybe they should look in a mirror. Because I feel that our biggest criminal element is sitting in the White House! All Americans should get on board in saving our Democracy; the Politicians are the ones with their greedy ways have figured out how to screw “we the people” and its time we speech up with are voice and vote! I see JRE is the only Candidate that can fix our broken Democracy, and believe me it will take all his intelligent to fight this Culture of Corruption in our Capital, remember they had over 20 years to refine their Corruption!
I totally agree with
I totally agree with everything you said in your post - and you expressed my feelings better than I could have done. Thanks for a much-appreciated post.
No Offense
But Al Gore didn't even win his home state of Tennessee. Had he taken his home state it would never have been about Florida. It's his fault Bush has abducted this Country. His fault we have come to this moment. Don't let it happen again please Al stay home!
It's Gore's "fault" that
It's Gore's "fault" that Dubya and the Neocons have lied, cheated, and stolen their way into taking control of our government for their corporate puppet masters?
How in the world did you arrive at that convoluted bit of reasoning? The real "fault" lies with those voters who were too lazy to do their own thinking, believed the blatant neocon lies, and then voted for this criminal cabal in both the 2000 and 2004 elections. The eligible voters who stayed home, and those who voted for spoiler third-party candidates are just as much at "fault."
There is plenty of blame to go around, but none of it belongs to Gore.
Gore
I admire Gore enormously. I am glad he won the Nobel prize. I don't want him for president.I think he is intelligent, informed, a good husband and father and a very good Democrat. But he caved when the Supreme Court chose Bush for president. He should never have conceded gracefully. He should have started raising hell and never stopped. He simply isn't a strong, assertive man and that's what the pathetic Democrats need now. Howard Dean was the last of those I have seen and I want another one. I really admire Kucinich but he doesn't have that fleeting quality known as "presidential material". Too bad, but we must be realistic.
This allegation that Al Gore
This allegation that Al Gore "caved" after the SCOTUS decision keeps cropping up, and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Where does one appeal, and to which entity, after the highest court in the land has rendered an opinion? Does this mean that all of the SCOTUS decisions which go against the plaintiff indicate that those plaintiffs have "caved?"
The only body which can override a SCOTUS decision is the combined Congress, by passing a "special" law which addresses a particular set of circumstances. And even that maneuver is subject to an "interpretation" by the SCOTUS on the basis of Constitutionality.
It would have served absolutely no purpose for Gore to have gone on "raising hell" as you suggest. After the SCOTUS decision, he had no alternative but to concede, and to get on with his life -- which he has done admirably.
Being "strong and assertive," is also shown by accepting the inevitable, not whining, never wavering in your beliefs, and coming back to fight another day.
We all Al Gore, now more than ever.
There has never been a greater need for change and humanitarian leadership in our nation's history. Because of our poor choices over the past eight or more years, the planet's ecosystems and our relationships with the rest of the world's people are at a very strained, or even dangerous, crossroad. I trust this extremely bright man who listens to logic, understands it, and will use it and his higher level processing logic to make world-class leadership decisions. Furthermore, because he genuinely cares about people, they will listen to him.I respect what he has already achieved to protect the planet. ("He gets it.") He comprehends the urgency. More importantly, he can facilitate change quicker than any other candidate, I believe. Because he has the world community's acceptance, I trust this man to stand taller and wiser against the ugly adversity any Democratic candidate will face in this election for President.I trust this man more because he does not pretend to be God. He is courageous and won't cower against the Republican Party's strong arm methods, unlike many of our other candidates.Sadly, Al Gore doesn't need us. Nonetheless, we need him and the world needs him, even more. . .his children and our children need him. America as a world leader, needs to wake-up and to change, quickly. The future's deadly course is at hand. With his wisdom and his international support Al Gore can help us find solutions. I will support him, for President. I pray that he will run.
I can't agree more with this
I can't agree more with this writer. As he says, Al Gore doesn't need us. I believe that, even though he apparently does not want to run again, his moral sense is so strong that he will eventually have to come to the conclusion that our country's need for him is sostrong that he will have to sacrifice his personal needs for the good of the country. Not only do I believe that he is by far the most qualified person for the country at this time, I also think his enhanced maturity, confidence and prestige would run circles around any other candidate. Go to Draftgore.com to discover the huge amount of fervent support there is for this so far non-candidate, and if you agree join us.
Al Gore had innumerable
Al Gore had innumerable opportunities to support environmentally progessive steps during his tenure as VP and one of the most dammaging pieces of environmental legislation in the history of the planet sailed through unopposed without a peep from dear ole Al. He deserves only what he has earned so far which is at best, notoriety. vc
You are certainly entitled
You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Clinton and Gore produced more positive environmental legislation than the two Shrubs put together.

Dubya dismantled most of the environmental gains made by the Clinton/Gore administration shortly after taking office.

FCC deregulation.
We must call the FCC and tell them that we will not tolerate any further deregulation in media ownership rules. The FCC wants to move on this before X-mas. As of now there are 3 votes to accomplish this and just 2 opposing. There is precious little time to resist this further erosion of diverse voices in media ownership and the subsequent undoing of our Democracy.
Dear Mr Gore:
I'm sure I join millions in hoping and praying that you will run and win the Presidency!!
If you care about the planet, as President you can do far more than the ordinary citizen.
If you care about America, you have no other choice.
The criminal wiles of Bush, Cheney and their cabal have brought our Nation to a point of critical mass both domestically and internationally.
IT IS NO LONGER POLITICS AS USUAL - I'm positive that if our founding fathers were alive today, after trying and imprisoning the catamounts presently usurping political power in this country and carpetbagging the White House, they would unanimously call upon you to serve your country first before all else.
God bless America, God bless our Veterans and God bless you!
Al Gore Stay Home
Al Gore fought the good fight in 2000. He won but the Republican machine saw to it that W won the presidency. We do not need Gore in the race. There are already too many candidates running for the Democratic nomination. Put your support instead behind a president and vice president who would change the "Washington" we have suffered with for many decades. It is time for a brand new clean slate. Obama/Edwards. Not Al Gore anything. He is much too important doing what he is doing. If we don't save the planet all the presidents on earth won't mean a darned thing.
Gore for Prez!
He is the only one with the gravitas to oppose the leading Repugnican contenders. Hillary is a neocon who will continue the senseless slaughter indefinitely. I like Obama but what are his chances really in the flyover states? Gore did it once but for some reason took the dive; maybe now he's less compliant to the higher ups and more willing to hang it on the line for the good of his country.
Gore/FCC consolidation of the media
Gore will best serve us as he has as a private citizen.
EVERYONE needs to get ready to embrace the new media sensation- MORE CONSOLIDATION! We are already just like one big state controlled media. Every major outlet carries the same stories, almost exact sequence and pretty much the same info. The Soviets had TASS news, we have MASS news. Check out Democracy Now on cable, BBC, and middle-east news. You just might learn what different views are, and decide that the FCC represents corporate Americas' views which are MORE important than any objectivity or balance. Wecome to thought control by your sponsors. Kevin
How About a Gore-Obama Dream Team?
After the corporate frontliners are picked and we end up with the worst of the lot--instead:
On an Independent Ticket--Gore runs for Prez, with Obama as VP, so while one is targeting our environmental issues et al, the other tags in on reclaiming all our civil/constitutional rights?
Can you imagine what these two could do???
