Florida democrats being disenfranchised by our own party ! what does party think we will do in gen election ?So my party is planning on disenfranchising all florida democrats eliminating us from the primary process. You think this is logical and justified? The florida legislature (republican dominated) set agenda for primaries. Local party bosses went along with date changes.... and for this the Democratic party is telling all individual democratic voters that we cannot participate in the primary process and our florida delegates will not be allowed to participate thus disenfranchising me and my neighbors vote.... We are being told that we will have no voice in the selection of our partys nominee for president in 08. Do you expect us to accept this slap in the face and allow you to ram your choice down our throats? . I'll be damned if I'll sit quietly by while the democratic leadership steals my voting rights. Some changes had better be made pretty soon or a whole state load of democratic voters will sit back and let you take florida and the rest of the nation down the toilet with a republican victory in florida and the nation in 08' .... the republicans won't have to steal florida to win the presidency again. The Democratic party is willing to just give it to them... I can't believe our national party bosses are as ignorant as our state party bosses. Democratic voters like me are caught in the middle and are going to lose our right to vote and the rest of our party doesn't give a damn ! Why ? I want to hear your justification for stealing our votes!

Democrats in Florida out!
Is Emanual down there trying to see how they can lose the election once again? Hope the Florida Democrats sue.
They should sue
I agree- Florida Dems. need to sue for voting rights. We need to preserve what little election integrity we have- being eliminated from the primary process is a violation of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution and a violation of the political election process.
Just to set the record
Just to set the record straight, Florida Democrats have not been "eliminated" from the Primary process, nor have they been "disenfranchised."
Delegates to the DNC from all fifty States voted to establish the Primary Election start dates, including the delegates from Florida, and now they want to change the rules and be "first." Along with the DLC's "Super Tuesday," this race to influence the outcome of the Primaries is only playing into the hands of the current crop of media-selected "front runners."
Democrats in the other States which follow the Rules are the ones who should be suing those organizations that want to unduly influence the outcome of the Democratic nominee selection process. If Florida Democrats wish to sue someone, they should look at bringing action against their own State government, and not the Democratic Party.
After all, it was the Florida State Government (with a little help from the SCOTUS) who gave us Dubya in the first place. Florida Democrats need to get their own house in order before they cry foul.
Lessee, 'What will Florida do in the Gen. Election...
1. Bill Nelson will continue to aid and abet the neo-cons. He really R one you know.
2. Florida will insure that even fewer minorities manage to vote.
3. Florida will still be unable to count the votes--even with their shoes off.
4. Voter fraud and the rest will be an even greater problem than it has been over the past few elections.
That is what Florida has done and will continue to do.
Dems from the 50 states agreed to the rules. Florida wants to break the agreement. They have broken all the other rules that govern civilized society, why not this one too.
The DNC is the party. Either Florida will agree to adhere to what they agreed to or they will not. A rogue state to be sure.
