" Answer for the nomination"Sen. Hillary Clinton deserves the Democratic Nomination. When asked if she woul;d meet with not too friendly leaders from countries like Iran, Syria, etc. she replied wisely that she would first need to know the agenda; why would these people want to meet with her and why. Sen. Obama quickly responded yes he would meet with these leaders. Nothing wrong with patching up (cleaning upmGeorge Bushes mess) relationships but why be used as propaganda material.I like Sen. Obama and think of him as a great visionary but his answer is his weaknes-lack of experience. The Democrats fought hard to gain control over the house and senate and we cannot lose them. I believe Sen. Clinton is the wise choice because of her experience. The conservative right Republican wing came after Hillary Clinton for eight years and spent 50 million tax payer dollars doing so. They are still attacking her today. But Sen. Clinton won and she will win the Presidency and stop this war! Like Sen. John Kerry said"We are in the wrong war, in the wrong place at the wrong time. We should have been in Affganistan and Pakistan first. Iraq does not have a relationship with Bin Laqdden as Bush now says exists! Surprise another scare technique used when Bushs' polls go down. And they are gutter down. He needs to call Underdog for help. A bit more experience for Sen. Obama and a clear path to victory for Sen. Clinton. By the way, Sen. Kerry was right about this war wasn't he!

" What about the poppies George"
While Bush is giving Pakistan and Afganistan billions and billions of money and relief why don't we burn down the poppy fields that poisons the world with heroin. Don't you think that would be one of the first items on the agenda? No it's never happened and the poppy fields are growing and our country ignores it. If George Bush isn't aware of this come to Chicago and see the Cook County morgue where daily overdoses of heroin lies on a cold slab. See what it does to our schools our families. And with heroin comes sales of heroin and drud trafficking and guns. Yep guns. And we all know how the Republicans (see Chenney shoot friend in face pictures) like guns and most of all the money from the N.R.A.
The war is costing 10 billions a month and allows countries to grow heroin. How does that work George?
I agree with your comments
I agree with your comments about Dubya, but the fact that Afghans grow opium poppies is a little more complicated than you make it sound.
Like the South Americans who grow cocoa plants, Afghans have been growing these "crops" for centuries, and they do so mostly in order to survive. There have been programs established to provide them with alternative crops, but they have all been undermined by graft and corruption, and the return on their labor is much less than the opium/heroin market.
It may not be "right," but it's true. Until their economy is able to raise the collective standard-of-living in Afghanistan, the country will continue to be a source for opium, and their tribal leaders will continue fight each other for the opportunity to sell to the highest bidder.
On another note, the "War On Drugs," is as impotent as the "War On Terror," with the only difference being that the former is a war on a substance, while the latter is a war on a tactic. There is no viable, defeatable, "enemy" for either war. As soon as one major "supplier" is eradicated, another pops up to take their place.
The only way to control the import, distribution, and sale of drugs, is to regulate them much the same as alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. That would require legalizing most "recreational" drugs, and then taxing and tightly regulating them.
The result would be a new source of tax revenue, a drastic reduction in our nationwide prison population, and would put a stop to the billions of tax dollars being wasted on fighting a losing "war" against a high-demand substance. You can dispute the morality of the legalization of drugs, but you can not dispute the natural course of economic supply and demand. As long as the demand is there (and it has been since the earliest humans) suppliers will find a way to fill the need.
Another note on opium poppies(cash crop)...
from what I understand, there is actually a shortage of medical morphine/codine and other derivatives throughout the world.
The drug users buy so much of the final products from the poppies and siphon off much of the material for 'recreational' use.

The greatest derangement of the mind is to believe in something because one wishes it to be so.
I want to know how Rudy goes
I want to know how Rudy goes through three divorces and talks about family values. You need an iron clad pre nup Rudy. I mean you think you would have learned that after the first marriage. See Donald Trump. He has a cast iron pre nup and he's not running for president. By the way Rudy as the campain continues the divorces won't be the only thing brought up. You do have quite a past don't you. You can't run forever.
