Group plans 'Honk to Impeach Bush, Cheney' demonstration

A group is planning a demonstration in downtown Westminster Saturday to oppose President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Brad Brown, a Westminster resident, said he expects 50 to 100 people to turn out Saturday to hold signs at intersections that read, "Honk to Impeach Bush and Cheney."

Brown said the demonstration will be peaceful, and he has applied for a demonstration permit with the city.

Brown said he began planning the demonstration Monday night when he learned of the arrest of war protester Cindy Sheehan and more than 40 other demonstrators outside the office of Rep. John Coyners, D-Michigan.

Sheehan had met with Coyners to urge him to begin impeachment efforts in the House Judiciary Committee.
