I'm posting below a journal entry that I started on November 1, 2006, that I did not complete until May of this year.  

AN AMERICAN JOURNAL

 November 2, 2006 Three years ago the Democrats held  a series of quasi-official hearing on the graft and corruption and the wholesale theft of money in Iraq and the lack of qualification of the individuals that this administration assigned to manage the programs to rebuild Iraq. They held thee quasi hearings because  the Republicans refused to launch such an investigation which might damage their friends are that were involved in the crimes 

 No one paid much attention them at the time, except for left-wing nuts like me.  Now it's old news.  But the fresh news is that the Inspectors General just returned from Iraq and declared that the graft corruption and theft that has occurred in Iraq by Halliburton and other entities is the largest theft of American property in the history of this country.  He stated that the Administration and the Republican Congress gave them a blank check.

It was the duty and responsibility of this Administration to manage the programs in a fiscally responsible manner; which obviously they have not. Combine that domestic crime with the waging of a war on a country that did not have the means to attack you, utilizing false information, which makes them no better than the Nazis in World War II. The Nazis cooked up false charges against the Poles and later the Russians and whoever else they needed to have an excuse to make war on.  What is the difference. The Nazis would shoot a couple prisoners dressed in their enemy’s uniform and conveniently plant them around a radio station or other facility as evidence that they had been attacked.  This administration has cooked up a whole whole bunch of nonsense and false information and presented it as evidence of a clear and present danger so they could wage a preemptive war against a country that posed no threat to us. What is the difference? None: Bush Administration = Hitler's Nazis Party.

Well, when the Democratic Congress gains control**…..

 This last journal entry was started on the second of November 2006.  It was unfinished because I had an unfortunate encounter with a telephone pole.  But, I am finishing the entry now.

**of the House of Representatives they are going to launch a series of oversight hearings and investigate many of the issues that should have been scrutinized before but, the Republicans would have nothing of it.  They believe they are going to stay in power for now and into the immediate future and beyond.  When these investigations reveal of the totality of the graft, incompetence, usurpation of constitutional power and just plain thievery that has been going on these last 6 years there will be such an outrage that Bush and Cheney will both be impeached and Nancy Pelosi, the GOP's worst nightmare, will become The President of the United States
