IRAQI SECURITY FORCES "NOT YET READY TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR NATION'S SECURITY"

IRAQI SECURITY FORCES "NOT YET READY TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR NATION'S SECURITY"

That shouldn't come as a huge shock to anyone. It is, however, the conclusion of a BIPARTISAN investigation by a House Armed Services subcommittee that took several months and there are some other disturbing details contained in the 200 plus page document.

Even though more than $19 BILLION has been invested so far, the Department of Defense CANNOT report in detail HOW MANY OF THE 346,500 IRAQI MILITARY and POLICE personnel that the coalition trained ARE OPERATIONAL TODAY.

Of those forces trained there is "STRONG EVIDENCE" that some are "INDEPENDENTLY COMMITTING SECTARIAN VIOLENCE AND OTHER ILLEGAL ACTIVITY."

DOD CANNOT ACCOUNT for whether COALITION-ISSUED WEAPONS HAVE BEEN STOLEN OR TURNED AGAINST U.S. FORCES.

The IRAQI ministries of DEFENSE and INTERIOR are NOT CAPABLE of ACCOUNTING FOR, SUPPORTING, OR FULLY CONTROLLING THEIR FORCES IN THE FIELD.

The IRAQI ministries of DEFENSE and INTERIOR LACK THE CAPACITY TO EXECUTE THEIR OWN BUDGETS.

The ISF does NOT HAVE CRITICAL ENABLERS LIKE INTELLIGENCE and LOGISTICS SYSTEMS that permit independent planning and operations.

The Democrat who chairs the oversight and investigations subcommittee of House Armed Services, REP. MARTIN MEEHAN, will be joined by REPUBLICAN TODD AKIN, the ranking on the subcommittee for a newser today to release the report.

$19 Billion / 346,500 trainees = $54,834.05 per trainee

And they're not ready yet?

When will they be ready?

More importantly,

What side are they on?

In an interview with one soldier he stated,
" we're defending these people by day, only
to have them try to kill us by nightfall".

Of course that's a generalization, but much of that
is true.

We need to get our troops out, NOW!
