No Amnesty for Illegals

I have been a Democrat since I first voted for Carter in 76.  My Father and Grandfather were organizers for the United Mine workers in Western PA in the 30's and 40's and Democrats to the core.

The Democratic Party is risking losing the heart of America if they continue to push the Amnesty Bill in Support of President W Bush.  That our Party leadership is ingoring those who put them into a position of leadership by supporting the exploitation those illegals for cheap labor is beyond belief.

Why is it that the Democrats are turning a deaf ear on the once employed middle class of this country to allow businesses to use illegal aliens to take what jobs havent been sent overseas?  Working men and women in this country are hoping for decent jobs at a living wage so their children can realize a little bit of the American Dream.  The use of illegal aliens is robbing them of this prayer.

So tell Pelosi and Reid that the Illegals need to go home.

The Bill died today in the Senate---May be agood thing

The firist post I made on this issue clearly showed how conflicted

I am over this issue.  I called it a sticky wicket from the beginning.

My point is with Globalization and so many jobs being exported

and outsourced.and Inc omes falling for the middle class--this

Immigration Bill appeared(fairly or unfairly) and attack on them.

Here is the link to the story.

Immigration Conflictions

I've blogged twice about this, and so I can easily identify with your conflict on immigration. This is a complex issue, and a coordinated approach is necessary for that reason.

Bear in mind, though, that it has been Bush's neglect of his constitutional responsibilities - that is to say, his reluctance to secure our borders - that has lead us to this point.

Also, please consider that if our National Guard and their equipment wasn't in Iraq, we would have more manpower and equipment to secure our borders. So, as he pontificates about "fighting them over there, so we don't have to fight them here" he is also promoting conditions that makes terrorist attacks more feasible and more probable.

I suggest that his dereliction of duty is treasonous and an impeachable offense.
