Look, the GOP from A to Z!

As the tide turns against his Attorney General and his NSA wiretapping program, the president has launched a "fear offensive" -- a desperate push to change the laws that govern spying. On Saturday, President Bush told Congress that if it doesn't gut the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) this week, the Democrats will be putting our nation at risk in a "heightened threat environment."

The president's proposal to "modernize" FISA is audacious, manipulative, and a direct assault on the checks and balances that Congress has tried and so far failed to restore. Shockingly, it looks like Congress and its Democratic leadership are about to cave in and give the President what he wants.

It's official, we are police state...

Thanks to 40 Democratic members of the House and the Democratic leadership in the Senate, the FISA Absolute Power bill has now passed. I promise you that whatever tiny restriction the Congress managed to put on the Absolute Power bill, the Decider will attach a signing statement to it making sure that that he gets every inch that he pretended to give. This Congress is a disgrace. Compared to the Congress before it, which redefined corruption and took it to whole new levels, the Democratic Congress is the culture of cowardice and compromised people.

Thankfully I am an independent, which gives me plenty of room to vote for whomever I choose. Party is not country after all. But those of you who are Democrats, you need to send your party cards back in mass protest and make it clear, that you will make sure that every single person who voted for this horror is not going to be coming back to Congress after the next election. And for the rest of them who did not even attempt to filibuster this, I would urge you to put them on notice. As far as the Conservatives go, they will pick party over country, so there is no point in addressing what they need to do, as they are likely celebrating a big victory as though something this serious were a mere Monday night football game.

Make NO mistake, we are in serious peril when an Attorney General who has subverted the Constitution per request of his boss, lied, obstructed justice, and defended torture, is now in full authority to declare who is going to be a target of warrant-less surveillance. You may not see this as seriously as I do, but then again, you have not lived under a dictatorship to know the difference. Mostly though, the people who failed most, are the citizens of this country - who should have taken to the streets and shut down all commerce, all traffic, and disengaged from the machine of government. You did not shut it down. You did not even try. You waited as your hopes were put entirely in the hands of cowards.

Police state now or in 2000?

The Constitution, Bill of Rights and our laws are not a party issue. In the dead of night most Republicans and all too many Democrats gave away our rights and violated their oath of ofifce. They are cowards and traitors.

The Hague and RICO awaits them. They can not hide from what they have done to our democracy and their genocide. We are told over and over that Bin Laden wants to destroy our freedoms and way of life. Seems they helped our enemy do just that.

Another attack may occur (from inside like 911, Katrina, LA road explosion, MN bridge collaspe, etc.) to keep the fear going. What they have done so far has not kept us safe but made us fearful of our own leaders. They speak it daily in their quest for power and profit. We look like Hitler and Stalin to the world. We are hated and feared for our power and lawlessness.

In just six years they have destroyed our democracy, power, and wealth. Shame on them.

It is not by mistake that they pass Constitutional illegal legislation on the last day and then flee the scene like cowards and theives to avoid the rath of the people. We should deney them vacation since we are in peril when they do. They claim to not read what they vote for. They will claim they were lied to. I no longer can accept that. If they can't do their jobs properly....then leave it.

For the last six years we have been betrayed, lied to, robbed, and destroyed. They don't listen to our voices even in an election.

Four mayor Democratic cities have infrastructure destroyed (by accident or terrorism?). Millions in the world have been made homeless and murdered. I say it's time to remove all of the traitors and "sucker oners" from Congress.

Let's get a petition in the states to remove those who voted for the removal of our rights and gave permission for spying on Americans. Let's have a national strike. Let's protest outside their offices, homes, etc. when they return from "Summer break".
