McCain-backer, Anti-Catholic Pastor John Hagee Lies To Jewish Bloggers
On January 24, 2007 Christians United For Israel founder, Pastor John Hagee (CUFI), participated in a conference call with Jewish-American bloggers. The intent of the call was to familiarize the bloggers with CUFI and to assure them that CUFI's motives were benign - that he didn't cynically support Israel to provoke Armaggeddon and the Rapture, where Christian souls would be saved but Jewish souls "left behind."
The following video showcases evidence demonstrating Hagee's motives were far from benign.
During the conversation, one blogger asked Hagee for some help on what to tell Jewish friends of hers who questioned the motives of Hagee and CUFI. Responding to that blogger, Hagee stated, "I do not support Israel because of any eschatological concept or prophetic concept. I support them because that I have a Bible mandate to do so beginning in the Book of Genesis and neverending."
Based on a comparison of Hagee's verbal response and of literature put out by John Hagee's Cornerstone Church Magazine most reasonable observers would conclude that Pastor John Hagee was lying. In the following video I have compiled evidence supporting that position.
In the video I show images, from the September/October 2006 edition of Hagee's church magazine, that featured on its cover an elaborate picture of war in the Middle East, a mushroom cloud predominating, with a title that read, "The Feud Between Two Families: World War Three Has Already Begin". Page two of that magazine featured a fund raising pitch, for Hagee's "Exodus II" project, which exhorted readers to "Become of part of Biblical Prophecy" by supplying money to "return Jewish families to their homeland."
Given the metaphorical and allegorical nature of religious language, Hagee generally has considerable wiggle room but in this case Pastor Hagee's words were directly contradicted by literature from Hagee's San Antonio Cornerstone Church Magazine, which exhorts readers to "Become a Part of The Fulfillment of Prophecy." by sending money to help Jews resettle in Israel.
It is standard to Christian Apocalyptic Premillennial Dispensationalist eschatology that Jews must be encouraged to return to Israel where, according to the prophetic tradition, most of them will be killed in the Tribulation, Apocalypse and battle of Armageddon except for a "remant", generally held to number 144,000 Jews who have converted to Christianity, will survive and serve as evangelical "super-Billy Grahams" who will convert all of humanity, surviving the expected (nuclear) end-times conflict, to Christianity.
The end result is that Jews, as such, and Judaism as a religion vanishes from the face of the Earth. This is known a Supercessionism, or Replacement Theology, and will be the subject of an upcoming story of mine describing how such ideas have become embedded, in United States case law, through recent decisions from the United States Supreme Court.

Bless Mr. Hagee - As a journalistic subject he's a joy - so rich, almost a cartoon.
That said, I do not believe Pastor Hagee has the best interests of Jews - anywhere - at heart.
What crap this is...
Hagee is another one of the most worthless people on the planet. He runs a profitable bidness...just as Robertson, Falwell, the dead guy from Coral Gables, Wildmon, and Dobson from the Rockies.
One of those "put your hand on the radio and feel the power" people who contribute nothing worthwhile to this or any other civilization.
Why are you wasting space and our time with this dribble? Nothing worthwhile else to do?
All the immediate problems we all face--Right Now--and you want to discourse on the resettling of Jews(people perfectly happy to be here like most of us)in 'their' homeland.
If this is all you have to peddle, then for someone's sake, go peddle it elsewhere.

I bother because I care, not because I don't have more pleasant ways I could be spending my time.
I don't have time right now for a lecture on the geopolitical implications of CUFI but they're potentially enormous and even apocalyptic to the extent people fail to pay attention.
In terms of your comment, you seem to be quick to judgment. Is that a quality of "expansive minds" ? Do you think it should be ?

I have always felt hagee to be a dangerous man. In a way he is very much like the extreme islamists we are fighting now. The only difference is he only talks it and they talk it and carry out violent actions. Everyone is entitled to believe whatever they so desire, unless of course it poses a danger to someone. He fills peoples minds with sometimes outrageous proposals based on "his" interpretation of prophecy. For Jewish people, oh what fun our options seem to be hmmmmm let's see; pushed into the sea by islamic extremists or woopie...forced conversion after an armaggedon. How exciting an outlook. However I prefer the third option, and that is staying jewish, continuing to follow my creators guidance which states honor your neighbor as yourself and bypass the armageddon (while such idiots bigots and hate mongers try to make it a reality). So tell me what is the difference between the two if they are both professing violence? The future is not all written in stone. If war is pursued then war may be achieved as an end. But if peace is pursued with wisdom, clarity, honor and dignity with all parties then that could be a future as well. Granted, if someone is attacked then it makes things much more difficult, but not impossible. We do have some control in the future of our society people. We need to get past some of these outdated beliefs that worked in the past to achieve an end and see that we ALL have to get along to survive in the future, especially with the environmental damage we have done in the name of greed. There is a special word they have for what is needed now, hmmmm let me see what is that word............hmmmmmm....it gets so little use these days...........oh yes.......SHARING!
Oh yes and one more thing; I do not now or will I ever believe that the almighty initiates wars. I believe that that has always been a device of man and as such man can decide not to.
Haggee's Devious Plan
I, for one, DO think this is the place - even for regligious-persuaded topics. Look at the Obama flak - Rev. Jeremiah Wright (Obama's Pastor) has stirred up controversy where there is not much to stir up. The man has spoken favorably of all 3 religons: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. NOT SO with Hagee, Robertson, Franklin, Parsley or any other "fundamentalist" preachers. They all have a devious "end-time" plan for the Mid East and for the US of A. It's time Democrats knew all they can about it to confront the newly-converted Baptist MC CAIN !
......just think what we could do with Mc Cain's HUNDRED-YEAR war comment.
