Don't Poke the Barracuda
McCain's advisors are making a big mistake going after Palin privately with attacks like this:
“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” said this McCain adviser, “she does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”
As Kevin Drum notes, Sarah Barracuda will get her revenge, sooner rather than later:
And you know the part I'm really looking forward to? Sarah Palin's role in all this. I expect her to rip McCain absolutely to shreds. On background, of course, but it will be no less vicious for that. Her future, such as it is, lies with the wingnut rump of the party, and she knows what her audience wants: John McCain's blood. And lots of it. They never liked him in the first place, and I expect them to be howling for his head on a platter starting at about 8:01 pm EST on November 4th.

Why no comment from Obama over Gov. Palin and RNC
Senator Obama is getting nailed over "spread the wealth" while Govenor Palin is spending lots of money for clothes and hair dresser that the RNC is paying for. While families are loosing their homes and jobs, and the state of the economy wouldn't it be more prudent to call both Govenor Palin and RNC to task for spending obscene amounts for the Govenor to look good on camera? I know I wouldn't trust someone who spends obscene amounts of money to look good and I question the thinking of a person to manage the federal budget at times like this. Also, with Senator Obama getting a lot of personal attacks from Govenor Palin and Senator McCain, why wouldn't Senator Obama attack Govenor Palin over the "Troopergate" affair, her and her husband's ties to the radical Alaskan Independence Party, and the suspicious kickbacks of contractors that built the Palin house? Just asking...
Because those are not
Because those are not "issues" which the American People care about right now, just like Bill Ayers and ACORN.
The American People are looking for leadership -- not "gotcha" showmanship.
