Change Begins NOW

If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today, he wouldn't be sniping over the Voting Rights Act of 1964 or Iraq War speeches in 2002.

He'd be leading the largest protests our nation has ever seen to end to the occupation of Iraq, restore the Constitution, massively shift funds from the military to humanity, and impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney for their war crimes and lies.

If Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to compete on who is a better agent of change, it's time for them to stop talking and start acting.

To: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama

In the coming weeks, Congress has major opportunities for change. As Democratic primary voters, we want to know: Will you just talk about change, or will you act for change NOW?

1. Will you actively oppose (and endorse the filibuster of) any bills to further fund the occupation of Iraq, including making speeches and emailing your supporters urging them to contact their Senators and Representatives?

2. Will you actively support Senator Dodd's filibuster of telecom immunity for warrantless wiretapping, including making speeches and emailing your supporters urging them to contact their Senators?

3. Will you actively support Rep. Robert Wexler's efforts to persuade House Judiciary Committee Chair John Conyers to hold hearings on Impeachment for Vice President Cheney, including making speeches and emailing your supporters urging them to contact their Representatives?

4. Will you actively support Rep. John Conyers' single-payer non-profit health care plan (H.R. 676), including making speeches and emailing your supporters urging them to contact their Senators and Representatives?

We look forward to your prompt response so we can share your answers with millions of progressive primary voters who want change NOW.
